Justin O. • January 20, 2016Cash only. Great place for freshly made soba noodles, you can taste the buckwheat. Staff is friendly. The tempura comes with lots of seafood and quality vegetables.
Elica Y. • May 28, 2014Don't forget to order their charcoal rib eye steak & nankotsu karaage. If they have the uni sashimi as a special you MUST get that too. An authentic Japanese izakaya. Seriously, a hidden gem.
Danny C. • May 31, 2010Great yakitori and oden. Liver and tongue are must gets!! As always, get a pitcher of cold beer on draft!
Lucille F. • January 15, 2022OMG! One of the best tempura I’ve had outside of Japan. It’s the real deal! Fried in fragrant sesame oil doused in their homemade sauce! I’ll go to Torrance just for this!
Herman F. • February 20, 2014Great produce and and beer and sake section. The bakery is phenomenal, some of the best fresh baked bread in the city; not at all sweet like the bread you buy at the conventional grocery stores.
Oliver • August 4, 2016My favorite here is the thick cut tongue. Pork belly wraps are good. Yaki garlic. Usually a wait but they will serve beer while you wait!!
Justin O. • May 28, 2018The chestnut sundae is good. They have a wide selection of soft serve, cakes and roasted chestnuts. There are a few seats.
Connie C. • January 1, 2019Eat here if you’re an uni lover! Love the uni and foie gras risotto so much. Uni tomago onsen and uni shooter are good. I loved the kaisen donburi, amazing sashimi & tuna toro. Generous uni portions!
Clara K. • October 28, 2012they have a new menu with omelets, udon, cream chicken, and more!
Justin O. • July 28, 2013The sushi here is amazing especially the salmon skin and don't forget to leave with a green tea ice cream
Carlos G. • February 28, 2017good home style comfort Japanese food at extremely reasonable price. Katsu-curry with rice and salad for $7.95??? almost too big to eat all at once. Miyabe bento around $10.00. Love it. Cash only
Kat . • July 29, 2019Both Tonkatsu and God Fire Ramen (Level 2 - spicy paste on the side) are delicious! Black Tonkatsu by itself doesn't really catch my eye, but it is so much tastier if you add some spicy paste in it!
