Fernando T. • February 27, 2013This place is a great interpretation of mexican food. They don't try to seem authentic and fail, they take the best of street mexican food and mix it with an american twist. Recommended.
Best of • August 26, 2014If you love authentic Italian food, 54 Mint is as authentic as it gets. The place is owned by Italians and offers great classics from Gnocchi to Alfresco. Be sure to try their Tiramisu for dessert.
Andrew L. • November 7, 2010Place too clean, service too nice, prices too high, clientele too fancy to be called "authentic" but it is so good. Xiao long bao (Shanghai dumplings) = heaven. Better make a res on weekends...
Neeracha • September 17, 2022Authentic French buckwheat crepes are hard to find in SF - this place is legit, I come every week!
Emily L. • July 23, 2019Tasty and authentic dim sum, might be one of the last places in SF where they come around with carts. Somewhat overpriced but I guess they gotta pay rent in the Embarcadero somehow.
Angelica D. • December 26, 2014Beeeeeeeeeer. Comfort food is great, but the quality is meh. This place feels authentic and community-driven
Amritha P. • December 11, 2012The only place in San Francisco that offers authentic Indian chai. Well except for samovar but this is half the price.
Tony K. • February 11, 2014Nothing fancy here, just really good authentic Indian food. Crowded, even on a Monday evening. Give this place a try!
Pawel C. • February 21, 2017It might be the best burger I have ever had... and I am big on burgers. Place feels shady and underground which actually gives it more of authentic rough feel. Super cool
Diego R. • March 25, 2011Authentic California food. No chain stores. Everything in this cozy place is there for you to taste.
Shali N. • April 10, 2017Great lunch spot for Japanese curry! They also seem to be the only place in the city with authentic curry pans (savory donut with curry filling).
Jenny U. • April 18, 2016This place was dirty & underwhelming. It might be rated well bc it's a whole in the wall, but it's not authentic. Flies were flying into my food and I saw a roach on the wall beside my table. Avoid.
Laurynas Č. • December 9, 2021For me it’s very authentic old fashioned place. Wasn’t cheap, yet worth coming if you’re looking for traditional lunch/breakfast choices like reuben sandwich. Tastes ok.
Arun N. • February 6, 2017Mango lassi was good. Fish tikka masala is NOT good. The tikka masala sauce does not taste authentic. It had a weird flavor that I cannot place.
H K. • November 26, 2015On the pricey end of SF ramen scene. Good ramen but not as authentic as some other places like Ramen Dojo.
