Maruška M. • September 27, 2017Authentic classic german experience. A lot of beer with affordable price. A lot of people and giant portions of food. Especially good place during warm time, because of the chill atmosphere around.
Ania S. • March 4, 2014great German restaurant - tasty food, nice and helpful staff. I strongly recommend it!
Joanne M. • February 21, 2018Cozy traditional German place, one of the oldest restaurants in Berlin. Make sure to reserve ahead. The food is authentic German so in case you don't like pork or potatoes, don't go there!
Julia L. • March 17, 2018Super friendly staff that will translate the menu for you, good (really sweet) house beer, hip decor, vegetarian options available, make sure to book in advance because the place is pretty small!
A. • July 9, 2015The best local restaurant on Torstraße. The menu is two choices—meat or veg—and changes daily, but always amazing. Paired with a great wine list and friendly staff, you have a neighbourhood favourite
Joyce T. • September 13, 2013It's a French German restaurant, probably more German than French though. Their salad is fresh and the food is like a home made meal. Come during lunch and try their plats du jour!
Yan • December 15, 2017Amazing coarse fried sausage with sauerkraut, port knuckle is a must have, so is warm apple strudel (if you have any more room!)
Chris K. • April 8, 2016Modern German cuisine. Only local produce. Great interior design. You have to try it. Get the steak.
Benedict B. • May 27, 2014Try the Schnitzel- it's awesome. For those who care about menu variety, the menu has a reduced number of meals in the back yard, so make sure you sit in the front area of the Biergarten.
caroline p. • May 16, 2015Cosy grandma style restaurant and definitely the right place to go for German food! Big portions and delicious meat and fish. Waiters are efficient but not that polite.
Greg B. • July 23, 2011Food has been yum!! Everything. The service was relaxed and accommodating. Love the schnitzel.
Emma W. • August 10, 2014Nice place for Mitte standards. Good kaffee+kuchen, great wines. Try the spaghetti bolognese or have some german food. Great location under the traintrack at Bhf Friedrichstrasse.
Philip M. • October 1, 2018Great German food, definitely recommend the Berliner meatballs. No Hefeweizen and no tap water though 😅
Manon V. • October 24, 2019Definitely a touristy spot close to Alexanderplatz but still a place I would recommend. Nice staff, home brewed beers (brewery in celler) and real German food. HUGE terrace with views on the spree.
