Social N. • June 28, 2012The Greenbelt trail located by barton springs pool is great for hiking, but if you're looking for swimming and rock climbing, it is best if you enter the trail near MoPac to avoid a 5 mile hike.
Lois R. • July 25, 2017A short hike to one of the most beautiful views in Austin. Enjoyed the scenic drive to the park also.
Emily S. • January 19, 2019Great variety of hikes! From the paved to the more wilderness-type, you can tailor your visit to your skills. Most people come in the summer to swim at the falls, but I like hiking in cooler weather.
Elizabeth H. • July 16, 2016Mountain biking, trails for hiking, pool and views! Bonus: Doggy poop bags are provided.
Elizabeth H. • April 9, 2015Best hike and bike trail with beautiful views and don't forget a piece of bread for the ducks!
Brian S. • January 3, 2015Try to time your hike to be heading back toward downtown in the afternoon. Otherwise you're staring at the sun the whole hike.
Erin G. • February 19, 2017Real leg burning hike less than twenty minutes from downtown! Constant ups and downs with stairs
Elizabeth H. • December 22, 2015Little known gem of a park for nature lovers. Bring your dog and your swimsuit for a swim in several creeks. Lots of great hiking trails and perfect spot for mountain bikes, too.
Colleen K. • April 3, 2013Hike down by the water after a good thunderstorm, worth the muddy shoes to experience a true urban oasis!
Rodrigo M. • June 14, 2014The Boardwalk Trail at Lady Bird Lake will connect the current end of the trail by the Austin American Statesman Building to Lakeshore Park, closing the southeastern gap of the hike and bike trail.
Social N. • June 30, 2012This is a great place to both hike and take a swim. Even during drought season there are spots deep enough to jump off the cliffs and swim in. Beware of snakes near brushy areas though.
Will F. • April 6, 2013Run up and down a couple of times, and you'll be beat for hours. Some good views and decent shade, but be ready for steep and slightly crumbly terrain, with mountain bikers zipping past.
Bobby • September 1, 2014A nice hiking trail - near to it all but removed enough to help you forget you're near to it all!
Jennifer R. • August 3, 2018Really easy hike to get to the top. Amazing views but go at sunrise or sunset for something even more beautiful. Best of all - free!
Robbie C. • November 26, 2009Take your dog hiking at Commons Ford Ranch, the best park in Austin that nobody knows about. But plan ahead, park closes at 6:00 p.m.
Amy J. • September 5, 2013Hike & bike trails, movies in the park, sand volleyball, soccer, kayak & canoe rentals and don't forget the disc golf course.
