"I always start with the steamed buns—pork, of course. Slow-cooked, super tender pork belly is served in a super soft rice bun with just a touch of spice. It’s delicious!" Chef Jim Botsacos Read more

The brick-walled Malaysian eatery takes a boutique approach to savory street dishes, pairing generously sauced chicken wings and basil-spiced egg noodles with hard-to-find beers and craft cocktails.

May be the best crab I have ever had in my life and the best meal in the city. Had the chicken wings, short ribs and crab between three with the recession drink series. Amazingness.

Go with 3-4 friends and order 5-6 things to share! Try for the duck and Malay fried fish. And if crab's not your thing, get the "sauce and toast", which gives you the same great chili sauce w/ bread.

Cute Asian restaurant with sidewalk seating a block off all the busy Gansevoort traffic. Serves Malaysia food: recommend chili crab and the curry mussels...get the coconut rice.

It serves chili crab, of course, a Dungeness crab served in a pungent chili broth, but almost as popular is the green mango served with a dipping bowl full of sugar, chili and salt. Read more

Musts: beef short rib rendang, pickled watermelon/ crispy pork. Must avoid: fatty sliders (dry/boring), chicken clay pot (dry/bland), and steamed buns (dry/just not worth it-go to momofuku)

Grab those sauce-dripping chili crabs with your hands and get messy; gnaw on the bones of salty and succulent chunks of "fatty duck." You'll think you've died and gone to Kuala Lumpur. Read more

Nice service, cute small space. Crab is popular but tough to get at. Shrimp in the starter appears to have been frozen, though still saucey and delicious. Solid pork buns. Not a scene, but good.

The steamed pork buns and recession special are my go-to's. Squeeze in at the bar and grab a stool if it's crowded. Fun staff, tip well.

Fodors recommended as a 'cheap eat', & then ordered Chilli Crab not realising that it would rocket the bill (!) - but it was worth it. Pork belly & watermelon too - who knew? So tasty... :)

Cracklin pork salad with watermelon might not sound like exactly what you want to eat on a summer’s day, but it is! If you go here for the famous Fatty Crab dish, be sure to bring a friend or two.

This place is not bad. It's authentic enough but pretty pricey for Singaporean / Malaysian food. The pork is good, crab is decent, vege portion was tiny. Clay pot is average. Overall it's ok.
