NOLA’s airport is old and showing its wear. There is a lack of power outlets, decent food (which is sad for NOLA), and the security can get overwhelmed. Time for the new one to open (if it ever does)
Smoothie King and Grove are directly across from the gate.
This airport always smells like old funnel cake and debauchery.

Curbside check-in guys let your bag slide if it's over 50lbs
Get food, souvenirs, whatever before you enter Terminal D. There's pretty much nothing past security.
