- Noah WeissNovember 29, 2015The spicy fried chicken sandwich with slaw lives up to the hype. Perfect starter to eat while waiting for a table a few doors down at Momofuku Noodle Bar.
- One chicken sandwich is like 1.5 shake shack burgers. Make sure you ask for slaw (pickled white radishes). The fries are Cajun and just too few to share. Mix ssam sauce and ketchup and thank me later.
- TomJune 28, 2015Tender, crispy, juicy and a little bit of a kick. Add $1 for the off the menu daikon slaw. The salad ain't bad either. Skip the fries. Worth the wait if the weather is not terrible. Line moves quick.
- The Wall Street JournalJune 25, 2015The sandwich itself is excellent, with plenty of deep-fried chicken spilling out of the soft potato roll bun. Lightly breaded and with fatty bits, the meat both juicy and crunchy. Read more
- BommyOctober 4, 2015$15 dinner combo: chicken sandwich, wedge fries, and tecate. Piece of chicken is huge and very filling. Wedge fries are thick and so good dipped in ssam sauce. You will eat standing up. No bathroom.
- L. S.January 28, 2017Wow wow wow. Best chicken sandwich in town...and, yes, I've been to Chick-fil-A. Do yourself a favor and trust David Chang on this one. Ps: fries are worth the calories too.
- Sam BrownJune 20, 2015Legit fried chicken sandwich with serious chicken thigh to bread roll ratio! Fries are well seasoned, tecate's are ice cold, and get involved with the unique Ssam sauce, trust me.
- Mike FriedlichMay 29, 2016The spicy chicken sandwich is the best. It has a nice kick to it and is very flavorful and overall is just excellent. The Fuku Fingers are also delightful.
- Kev SkinnyNovember 18, 2015David Chang is a genius. Offering simple high quality food on the go like this is outstanding. Service was pro for a fast food setting and I loved the sandwich the fries and salad. Ssam sauce is 🔥🔥
- Stina P.September 28, 2015david chang can do no wrong - chicken is a little spicy, but this is a great alternative to his other restaurants. order and eat at the counter. fries are tasty and the korean hot sauce is 👌🏻
- AmateurConciergeJune 18, 2015Delicious and well priced. Let's hope the prices stick, the lines die down (least likely) and Chang finds some other sure fire hits for the menu
- Albert TongOctober 24, 2015Definitely one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had - recipe by David Chang! Fries are super well seasoned. Put the Ssäm Korean chili sauce on everything!
- David RiordanSeptember 6, 2015Spicy fried chicken sandwiches are a superior simulacrum of Chick-Fil-A without the debatable moral code and open on Sundays. Ask for pickled daikon to make it a Koreano. Plus the Michelada is 💯
- 4 Friday nights in a row. What else can I say? It's that good. Best fried chicken in town. Up to Asian standard. Superb. I love David Chang!
- Behrad EatsFebruary 13, 2016You come here for one thing, and that is David Chang's killer Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich with fries!
- Simone JungDecember 14, 2015Get the secret sandwich (the Koreano) which is the same spicy chicken sandwich with shaved daikon. Seriously puts a nice cool on that spicy chicken. The spice starts subtle and builds, so be warned!
- Anoop RanganathJune 14, 2015The use of chicken thighs is the big win here. I could've used more heat in the crust, but it's still more than you'll get anywhere else. Enjoy it fresh at the counter with a michelada.
- Thomas MoJuly 8, 2015Spicy chicken sandwich was one of the best I've had, especially if you lather it with ssam sauce. Great filling portion for $8 - got two pieces of chicken in the sandwich too!
- Rick NijhuisFebruary 16, 2017David Chang's chicken joint right next to his LES Noodle bar. Loved the spicy chicken sandwich with daikon and Momofuku sauce!
- Alex HennesseyAugust 28, 2015Spicy chicken sandwich, obv. No need to add condiments. Ssam sauce is mildly spicy Korean chile paste, vaguely ketchupy mashup. Pretty good. And I actually like the potato wedges.
- Cole KennedyJune 17, 2015This might just be everything a fried chicken sandwich is supposed to be (though, only a little spicy). Don't forget the Ssäm Sauce!
- Super juicy thigh meat, and make sure to load it up with saam sauce. The Koruna is the secret dish and has slaw on it
- Chicken sandwich is as good as it gets. Perfectly fried, piping hot, super juicy dark meat. The understated dry heat complements the taste, instead of overpowering it.
- Kim PhamDecember 21, 2015Believe the hype, the spicy chicken sandwich is all sorts of indulgent. Don't forget the Ssam sauce!
- AdrienAugust 22, 2015Chicken is fantastic—and huge! Tip: go with the daikon slaw and eat it there, if you take it to go it makes the bun wet.. Tip#2:don't forget the sauce
- DJuly 18, 2015Spicy chicken sandwich, fries and salad! Chicken sandwich was great just a bit greasy for me. Salad was delicious. The fries were a disappointment.
- Jason SotoSeptember 6, 2015Great spicy chicken sandwich, fries are delightfully crispy potato wedges. ssam sauce is mild, needs a more vinegar-y kick.
- Get My Grub On! www.getmygrubon.coSeptember 22, 2015Awesome chicken sandwich. Remember to order the extra crunchy daikon on top. They also have a mean margarita.
- DJuly 19, 2015The menu. $8 for a dark tender juicy spicy chicken sandwich.... just a tad greasy for my taste though. Big piece of chicken. I enjoyed their salad a lot!
- Adrian PhillipsJanuary 30, 2016Pop in for some chicken strips and fries. The sandwich is alright (it is like an elevated chick-fil-a sandwich) but the chicken strips with the honey mustard is a total mouth explosion.
- Alex FishJuly 2, 2015Fried chicken sandwich is one of the best in NYC...not a potato wedge guy but the fries were great
- Martha XJuly 11, 2016Chicken sandwiches to die for. Koreano is just with daikon radishes... A little bit too much of it. Must add Ssam sauce
- Josh ComptonDecember 28, 2016*There are 2 joints on the block this is closest to 10st* Walk in…turn right…look up…menu! The spicy chicken sandwich is good, wont melt your face. Find ssam (Korean Arby's sauce), apply. Meh re:fries
- Anoop RanganathJune 13, 2015Order the off menu slaw sandwich to get a heaping pile of shredded pickled daikon on top for an extra dollar.
- Tammy LeeJuly 20, 2015Well-seasoned and crispy fried chicken. Bun is unfortunately very sad. Fries (wedges) are okay, underseasoned. Try the off-menu "Koreano," their chicken sandwich with daikon radish slaw added.
- Alex RobertsonMarch 18, 2017the guy gave me two patties for my sandwich. awesome. audaciously dark meat-y for a fried chicken sandwich
- Sandro PuglieseDecember 23, 2015Quite possibly the best chicken sandwich in NYC. The fingers are amazing too - it's all about their dipping relish!
- Dark meat fried chicken delicious. Hot. Fresh. Sauce. Fries. Seltzer. Etc.
- What's Good HereJuly 22, 2015Flavorful with a mild kick. If you really must, dab a bit of ssam sauce, but the chicken doesn't need it.
- Stick with the original spicy chicken sandwich or the fingers. Really tender and well seasoned.
- Probably the best chicken sandwich in the city. Decide for yourself; but fresh it's even better than the chickenshack.
- Gabriel Rodriguez DiazMay 12, 2017Get their spicy chicken and french fries. They are excellent! The Chicken Bacon Ranch and the Chili Cheese Fries are good but very heavy
- This place is great. One item on the menu provides quick turn around for when you want to grab something fast. The chicken sandwich is huge, too.
- drew tarvinOctober 17, 2015Great for a quick fried chicken sandwich. The chicken is far bigger than the bun but that's a good thing.
- Lizzy SaxeJuly 13, 2015Fantastic micheladas, legit sandwich with great pickles, and pretty good fries. Will be back soon.
