- Terence ChanJuly 18, 2015The pork buns are good. As was the service (got free shumai for the longer wait for or Gyoza!). Get the Gyoza. The ramen was very flavorful. This place has a unique spin and flare to their ramen. 4/5
- Cameron WMay 9, 2016The Tori Shio sea salt chicken broth is awesome. It is the best chicken broth I have had. If you are trying to get over a cold and craving ramen the Tori Shio is calling your name.
- Sandra RubinchikJanuary 4, 2015Get your hands on some buns, dumplings (the gyoza and shumai are both winners), and spicy miso ramen. No reservations, so come around 4PM on a weekend before the Barclay's pre-show dinner crowd.
- Chefs FeedDecember 3, 2015"This is the perfect "get well" dish in Brooklyn. It's got tender chicken, a perfectly soft boiled egg, great broth and top notch ramen noodles." Chef Chaz Brown Read more
- Datrianna MeeksFebruary 21, 2016Everything was tasty. Try the Triple Shrimp Ramen and the veggie spring rolls. Others around me had wings and other types of ramen that looked great too!
- Colton PetersonMarch 4, 2016If you don't eat pork this is the ramen place for you. They have more options pork free than any other I have found. The crab wontons are also packed full.
- F. BastardApril 13, 2016Crisp, lacy gyoza w/classic dipping sauce - the best in town. Ramen-wise, kakuni broth is light + flavorful; spicy miso + triple shrimp MUCH heartier. (Ask for the deep fried shrimp on the side tho')
- AlexandraJune 10, 2013Everything about this meal was on point. The spicy miso soup had just the right level of heat and the soup was so delicious! Def must return!
- Rajini PriyaJanuary 17, 2014The closet and best ramen place for Downtown Brooklyners! Absolutely love it. Try the gyoza and pork buns... They melt in your mouth. Spicy ramen is good although I prefer 'Stamina'.
- Umair ZiaNovember 5, 2015Guys! Everything. Everything's awesome. Get the braised short rib buns, braised short rib ramen, and triple shrimp ramen. All too good. And the oyster stout beer from Japan. Cool ambience and service.
- Ramen is good and a little on the softer side. Buns are pretty good (there are specials sometimes) but the gyozas are unbelievable. Probably the best out there. Hand-made, crispy, extremely meaty.
- J CrowleyNovember 20, 2015Hear me out. This place is good, but not the best value. Kinda pricey. Gyoza good, but not mind blowing (get 1/2 order). Pork buns were spicy as a mo fo - the miso flavor burned my nostrils. Yowzers!
- Dan SohaydaDecember 2, 2017Ganso Shoyu was smooth and almost creamy. Just the right amount of noodles and broth for a lunch bite, but I should have gotten an extra egg half. Friendly and helpful staff make this a nice place.
- egleNovember 10, 2017The place that changed my mind about ramen completely. Forget about your experience of eating cheap ramen noodles in college. This place is a a gem of a Japanese restaurant. Definitely gotta try!
- New fall menu! Get the buttery mushrooms, shrimp ramen if you like things spicy, wings, and the gyoza. Also, the vegetarian ramen is actually real nice; meaty tofu strips with a milky broth
- Once you get a table (relatively small space), the food is excellent. We tried the short rib buns, gyoza and spicy miso and all were amazing! Don't forget to try the salted caramel ice cream!
- Ganso's shoyu ramen is great! Gyoza and pork buns are also super tasty! They have bentos for brunch during the weekends.
- MarcApril 16, 2014Tasting Table's Top Ramen NYC: Stamina ramen "...lovely broth with chicken bones... even lovelier with a house-made chile oil... comes w/wood ear mushrooms, seasonal greens, garlic chives & scallions"
- Daniel TantaleanOctober 24, 2015Probably the best Ramen I've had in NYC. The broth for the ramen is really great. Also provide great Japanese beer selections
- AndrewApril 18, 2014Wow. I can't such much more than this place is absolutely brilliant. The food, of course, is top notch - but the service and laid back atmosphere is like the cherry on the cake.
- Haley JonesOctober 27, 2013The spicy miso was pretty good...Although if you're a huge spicy fan, ask for the spice powder to add yourself. The appetizers are where it's at though: chicken wings, shrimp Shimai and the dumplings!
- AlexJune 23, 2016spicy miso & tori ramen are pretty solid. happy hour deal gets you any ramen + half order of gyoza, which comes out sizzling.
- Don't miss the gyoza, stunning with crispy fried "wings" and a spicy side dip. Curry may not be why you came, but now on the dinner menu topped w short rib it's marvelous.
- Time Out New YorkJune 4, 2013Before giving Downtown Brooklyn its own killer ramen den, owner Harris Salat was a food writer, whose culinary crush on Japan was well documented in the The NY Times, Saveur and his own cookbooks. Read more
- Omar HarounNovember 3, 2013"Stamina" is delicious, but not your traditional ramen. You will be stoked you got the short rib starter. Ask for their hot sauce, more flavorful than spicy so go crazy with it
- Kate FurstJanuary 13, 2013The gyoza are delicious. Like crazy delicious. Short rib buns are solid. Spicy miso ramen was great. This place is fantastic. Can't wait to try everything on the menu.
- Their beef short rib ramen is not in a traditional or typical style but worth trying. Gyoza is pretty good too.
- tricia wangDecember 24, 2015They do a great job on their noodle texture for the ramens, I prefer the miso based ramens. Get the gyoza but despite the tips on the pork buns absolutely don't get them - super dry and lacks flavor.
- Duck bowl special off the map but everything I've eaten was at least excellent. Chili shrimp bowl also outstanding 🍜
- Tori Shio is great if you want a lighter, chicken based option. Love the fried chicken and the wings. Service is friendly and efficient.
- Zain M.April 20, 2016Very cool place with great tasting food. The ramen was great as expected but what blew me away was the chicken katsu sando. A must try!
- Foxxy BMay 1, 2017Beef buns, wings, and the incredible gyoza are all must haves. Curry ramen & spicy miso are top notch. Best for Brooklyn.
- Serious EatsFebruary 22, 2013A good addition to Brooklyn's ramen scene, with great gyoza that have a lacy fried crust.
- Bento boxes are great during lunch! Pork katsu> Salmon> chicken; don't get the rio wings in a bento box, do yourself a favor and get the full serving - they're addictive.
- Christina ChinMarch 14, 2017Gyoza is the best. Ramen is just ok, kinda $$$ compared to other ramen places. Pork belly is very fatty. I've never had to wait for a seat
- simhskalMay 31, 2016Very few vegetarian options.Nevertheless, broth was exceedingly tasty particularly with the tamarind-based rayu on the side. Small family friendly place. Will probably give it another shot soon.
- PinakDecember 24, 2015Spicy Saboro Ramen and pork buns are pretty good. They also have a good selection of craft beers.
- Very vegetarian friendly and pleasant staff. I added extra chile to my tan tan ramen, but was happy I didn't add salt; the remaining broth was very flavorful if you like shiitake mushrooms.
- TaliaOctober 10, 2013The wings are an amazing combination of crunchy, sweet, spicy & also an amazing value for the portion. Surprised they aren't the star of the "tips!" Now you know!
- Sisi W.January 4, 2013For vegetarians, the Tan Tan ramen is delicious, and even has delicious broth. Saltier than necessary, but not so salty that you don't enjoy every bite. Boyfriend felt the same way about the Ganso.
- I usually get miso but there's an amazing summer noodle dish: thick noodles served cold with a yuzu vinaigrette and veggies. YUM!
- Phil KatzApril 23, 2016Start with the gyoza, finish with any of the ramens, and wash it all down with a beer from their excellent list
- Jonathan LiangJanuary 27, 2013If you have the slightest hesitation of which Ramen to pick, I suggest you to get the "Stamina" Ramen. You will lick the bowl clean, broth is to die for.
- Carmen NFebruary 27, 2016Great ramen: perfect broth and soft boiled egg. Can't wait to go back and try more things on the menu.
- Tyler ReinhardMarch 26, 2016real broth, good pork belly, bright vegetables. what else is there in the ramen game.
- Carla FranklinMay 28, 2013The ramen is arguably just as good as if not better Momofuku in Manhattan. Great service. Great food.
