92-meter-high hill. The hill was made popular by King Mongkut (Rama IV) who loved the area so much he constructed a palace where he could stay during his numerous trips to the area.
The beach here in Railay East is not suitable for swimming. Just take the path to Railay West, only 10 min away. Be sure to bring bugs spray because there are lots of mosquitos, and they are big!
Most important tip: be careful with bikes! Very dangerous roads, descents and ascents! Take only good vehicles with powerful engine! But having a bike on the the island is necessary to be flexible.
The most popular attraction is a four-gabled pavilion constructed during the reign of King Rama V.With its beauty and distinctive identity the pavilion is now used as symbol of Prachuap Khiri Khan.
