Go solo. This allows you to go at your own pace. That way you won't feel pressured to keep up or wait for friends.

Buy an annual sky ride pass and you can ride unlimited for a year. Also buy a timer chip for $22 extra and for every 10 hikes you get a free smoothie. Proceeds go to a kids charity.

If you're willing to walk up this 3000-foot mountain trail (it's more or less a staircase straight up), you can explore Grouse Mountain and ride the Gondola down for free! Wear your hiking shoes.

On a serious note, there are NO garbage cans on the way so please do nature a favour and bring your bottles all the way to the top. A simple way to preserve what nature has provided to us.

For a scenic hike, do the Grouse Grind. To get lost, take the BP Trail. #Vancouver http://www.cirquedusweet.com/2013/07/vancouver-grouse-mountain-and-capilano.html?m=1

Take a slow & steady approach while climbing up the mountain or you'll burn out fast. Don't forget to take rests whenever you can. I saw a guy in front of me almost fall down the trail today!

This is not a hike, this is a workout. Be sure to bring water and a light power snack.

don't "hike" straight up the stairs, serpentine pattern will cut your time in half and save your legs

Tough power hike, but super rewarding. Try to go earlier in the day to avoid heat and tourists.

Don't even think about doing this without a water bottle in your hands. 1 Hour nonstop uphill. But it is so much fun!

You don't have to be a fitness beast to conquer the grind, just make sure you don't try to keep up with the locals...

Skip the cafe & head down to Mother's Herbs on E 14th @ Lonsdale. The BEST post-grind smoothie ever! Yes it's $10, but it's worth $20 (you just paid $12 for a gondola ride anyways, suck it up ;)

Обязательно: удобная лёгкая обувь, одежда (не джинсы!), бутылка воды и перекус, например, протеиновый батончик. В среднем хайк вверх занимает 1 ч 20 минут.
