"It's somewhat underwhelming for a figure of such importance, in general as well as for Syracuse in particular. Take a picture here, then walk to the temple of Apollo for more sightseeing."

"Best location for the archeological park, right next door. Parking facilities are great and the garage (pre-book) has large spaces. Good breakfast buffet. Only downside: insufficient sound insulation."

"Obviously not genuinely Archimedes' tomb, but intriguing site nevertheless. Next to the archeological park, easily walkable after the visit there. Hop on/off bus stops nearby."

"Notable ruins of an ancient temple, right next to a pedestrian area. Outside viewing only, so don't expect to spend a lot of time here. Close to various other sights and to restaurants etc"

"Relatively small, but lots of interesting inventions on display, part of which interactive. Children's section too where they can experiment/try out several theories. No pictures allowed though."

"Expensive compared to similar sites elsewhere, but still a must when in Syracuse. Early mornings beat the hot weather and the queues. The hop on/off bus has a stop at the park."
