One of the oldest bookshops in London. A must visit! Go to the upper floors and explore the many titles on display. You can ask for recommendations from the friendly staff too.

The oldest bookstore in Britain. Makes you want to leave your wallet at home. Be sure to experience this historic London landmark. And by the way lots of wonderful new and classic books as well..

An excellent bookstore. It has to compete with the slightly larger Waterstones down the road, but this bookshop certainly holds its own with its history and royal connections.

Opening in 1797, this is the oldest book shop in Britain and once stocked the country house libraries of Britain’s aristocrats. Byron, Wellington, Disraeli and Wilde were all regular customers.

3 October: Established in 1797, Hatchards is the oldest bookshop in Britain, and one of the most famous in the world. The shop was started by John Hatchard & was granted a Royal Warrant by George III.
