A real medieval tavern where you can have elksoup with wonderful pies and The Right Beer so cheap that you can pay for your friends as well! Picklefishing is free and all food is €1. Read more
Great place to have a snack. Just a few "dishes", definatelly elksoup, sausages. No forks, kindly and a bit rough service with great sense of humour. Prices are totally fair in the old town.
This is a must visit place!Friendly stuff,best prices(2e for elksoup and drinks,1e for pies)The atmosphere is brilliant!Candles and a real medieval feel!Everything is delicious-especially pies&sidor!
Amazing value, top location. Go for elk broth, elk&boar pies and mulled vine. You also get unlimited helpings of yummy gherkins provided you get them out of the barrel yourself. Not to be missed!
Very nice medieval tavern, very small menu (elksoup, sausages, ox ribs, pickles, Pies) but all very tasty, very cheap, best value for money we've found in tallinn, only disadvantage: toiletsdirty
Everything is perfect and special here, its soup is very tasty 😍 i like the land lady although she is a little bit angry, try to catch pickles here 😜😜😜 it is recommended for your soul😍❤️
We hadn't read the tips before going and were surprised. It's a nice place definitely worth visiting for the atmosphere. Food is simple yet tasty. Don't expect a variety of dishes to choose from tho
Despite it is located in the very city center and totally a tourist place, it's amazing and serves delicious food. Try here everything and you won't regret
Simply must visit! The Medieval atmosphere helps you to better understand Tallinn heritage. The food is cheap and tasty, I love their pies with apple and cabbage. You can also pay with card.
Really worthy place! Cheap but DELICIOUS food - took soup and pie with spinet and it was really tasteful. Atmosphere is specific and lovely ; the only minus is that no wi-fi in the place.
One of the cheapest food in old town. Don't be afraid of the center location - soup costs only 2 euros. Please take the dish to the dish basket at the back room after you eat.
An extraordinarily atmospheric tavern with inexpensive food. More authentic and less touristy than the Old Hansen (which is also quite appealing). Elksoup is tasty; pies and pasties so so.
Food is tasty, and unic, elksoup is a must, but pies are nothing special, just dough with fillings, atmosphere is great, you feel like you are in medieval times. Cucumbers are free, food prices 1-3 €
Did not see an English menu but go for the tasty elk soup and sausages. Medieval lady at the cashier was sweet to us, only a little cheeky. It's all an act, remember!
Don't get offended by the landlady of the tavern. It's all just acting and done on purpose to give customers the unique medieval feel on how taverns are run in those days.
This is a place you can not miss! Enjoy delicious elksoup, home madepies and perfect atmosphere while enjoyng the most hilarious service you have ever seen.
A medieval tavern which looks like a dragon's lair. A must-visit place in Tallinn, but only if you are not hungry. Come and get a pint of beer and an elkpie. They don't have much food there.
Middle Age restaurant you have to try the soup from elk and dried elk meat with it. Try pies but not so good. Cucumberpickles is free and deliciuous. Toilet is from middle age
I was asked by the serving lady if she could keep some change. I said that I wanted to decide when and who I tip. She said that she makes such decisions and gave me less than she should. Unpleasant.
