- MJJuly 26, 2014Fantastic hotel with a fantastic staff! Everyone is friendly and attentive. The breakfast is also brilliant. We fully enjoyed our stay here and are sure to book again when in Edinburgh!
- This place needs an updated review, so amazing! Very cute rooms, WiFi and breakfast included, I am in love with this hotel. With the recent renovations and updates, The George Hotel is a must-stay now
- Now refurbished and rebranded as an InterContinental hotel. Staff were extremely courteous and helpful (even providing a spare folding bed when requested at 2am!), with the rooms being well-appointed.
- In the middle of a refurb but service was good overall, staff attentive, wifi fast and free, breakfast great and room quality high. No parking onsite. Limited room service items. No minibar or fridge.
- Avoid room 446! Was awakening by crashing bottles noise every day at midnight and 6am. Otherwise the interiors were fab as newly refurbished and cosy.
- John Kennedy (London)December 15, 2012They offer a premium early check in service, for an extra charge. Worth it if you need to bed down early/settle in at 12noon earliest.
- Peter KentJuly 13, 2013Speak to Eva on reception to get the very best service The George has to offer. Thanks for a fab stay
- Megan KuchtaSeptember 19, 2012Really nice clean rooms. The people are friendly and in a great location
- Make sure 1st floor room is actually on 1st floor otherwise you'll be walking through a ran it's warren to get there and back out!!
- Room 462 has a very noisy AC unit but the view is lovely. No longer supplies Neals Yards toiletries ☹️.
- Jo NMay 30, 2013Tiniest hotel room ever, need to walk sideways to get to bed. Pay for everything - wifi/gym (which is far away anyway)
- Janet HoughtonDecember 10, 2016Good location, friendly staff. Room quite small although adequate. Not worth the price though and especially as he rate did not include breakfast
- Tracy HardingJuly 30, 2013£9,95 for 24hrs wifi that doesn't work on 5th floor. £5 room tray for room service!!!
- ask for a room in the new wing- smaller but more modern
- Katya BakhmetyevaApril 29, 2014Old-fashioned hotel, poor breakfast, slow internet costs approx 10 pounds/day
- John Kennedy (London)December 15, 2012Wi-fi is an extra £10 for 24hrs. But lots of places offer free wi-fi in the City, so go and explore them too and save a few quid whilst venturing around this great City.
- Anniversary? Mention to reception for possible upgrade!
