Wasabi shoyu ramen is my fave! Be sure to get nitamago in it! (Also, mix well; the wasabi oil floats to the top.) definitely get the pork buns as well: best in the city!
Classic spot people go to to experience ramen in NYC. If the lineup is too much, the nearby Zundo-Ya has a solid Tonkotsu as well.

Caroline VinasJanuary 23, 2013Bomb food! Get there when it opens to put your name on the list. Usually about a 2-3 hour wait for dinner. But you can leave your number and go to a bar near by while you wait. Worth it. Promise.
Although the signature ramen is awesome, my favorite two dishes are the Hirata Buns, which rival those at Momofuko, and the Yamitsuki Goma Kyuri, cucumber in an amazing sesame sauce.

There are many clones but only one ippudo in NYC for now. Get the special kasane aji ramen with extra shoyu tamago. Start with pork buns and cucumber, try the tenzan sake and remember to get kae dama
Their pork buns & the Akamaru Modern ramen are best two things you will ever eat. Ever. But only order what you can eat as you can't bring home leftovers.
