- SunainaOctober 6, 2014Finally tried the famous ivan ramen... Unlike other places they use rye noodles. I tried the spiciest.one they had on the menu. Delicious. Can't wait to come back and try some more.
- Behrad EatsNovember 22, 2015The Spicy Red Chili Ramen is one of the best ramens you'll have! Dashi + chicken broth, minced pork, smashed egg, rye noodle and fully loaded with egg, pork chashu, & roast tomato.
- Try the breakfast ramen if you're looking for something new, only available for brunch on the weekends. It's a heavier ramen in a cheddar sauce with bacon and egg slices.
- Valerie PetrovOctober 14, 2014Wonderful! I had the triple pork triple garlic mazemen ramen with an added egg yesterday, and I'm still thinking about it. Will be back often to try everything else!!!
- I know the main attraction is the ramen, but get a 1000 year deviled egg; it's fantastic (and cheap!). and for vegetarians, the veggie ramen is delicious. also, can't go wrong with the dry bizen sake.
- Victoria GDecember 3, 2017We had the Shio ramen with the roasted tomato & the spicy one. The shio broth was so delicious and the spicy one, you felt the kick as soon as you sipped it. Would definitely go again &try the rest.
- J LAugust 13, 2014Delicious ramen and apps. The Tofu Coney Island is great. JFK is just ok even for offal seekers. The spicy ramen is a must for heat seekers and works with the Ivan Palmer.
- Dan SohaydaJanuary 8, 2019Great atmosphere and super friendly management and servers. Went for a beer tap takeover event and had a great time. Food was even better with the best pork bun I’ve had so far. Can’t wait to go back.
- Ruby AnayaDecember 4, 2017The Spicy Red Chili ramen has a great spice level and unique flavors. I’d say in top 10 NYC ramen 🍜 and bonus points for the restaurant itself being super cute ✨
- Amanda RellaAugust 15, 2017Grab a seat on the patio outside. Japanese fried chicken with ranch dressing is untraditional but a must. The chicken paitan is hands down my favourite ramen dish.
- Village VoiceApril 14, 2015At Ivan Ramen, Orkin's hottest selection is the spicy red chile ramen. The crimson-hued broth is flavored with dashi and chicken broth, then filled with minced pork, rye noodles, and a smashed egg.
- Mare LealOctober 17, 2018Appetizers: Steamed Pork Buns - amazing!, Pickled Daikon - curious! Noodles: Chicken Paitan - Delicious!, Triple Pork and Garlic Mazemen - Amazing! All this more 2 beers + tax for USD 74
- James MarshallOctober 16, 2015Exceptional ramen. I love a spicy ramen and this place brings the best I have had outside of Japan. Cool patio in the back.Lots of other yummy sides. The Herbies International sandwich is great too.
- Tim MulcroneMarch 19, 2016Best ramen spot in the city if you ask me. Check availability via OpenTable. Spicy chili ramen will clean you out and you'll enjoy every minute of it. Super fast service but super cool, chill vibes.
- KinoOctober 10, 2014Tokyo's Ivan Orkin's 2nd NYC ramen joint. Pickled Daikon was good w/ its XO sauce topping. Triple Garlic Mazemen, Kewpie Mayo, & Ankimo Fried Rice were okay. I recommend sitting in the back courtyard.
- Landon LarsenMay 27, 2019The fried chicken was so good! Don’t skip on the starters. Ship was great, but the broth in the paitan was the best I’ve ever had!
- Ernesto GutierrezMarch 9, 2017Their pork belly add on topping is huge. Not to mention grilled to perfection. A must for any ramen dish you order. Roasted tomato add on topping is also a new flavor to try out.
- Youssof MalApril 18, 2017Spicy Chili Ramen. Brilliant. Drank all the broth. The rye noodles are a unique twist. We were also served their take on Chili Cheese fries, fried soft tofu with bean chili.
- rich masioAugust 9, 2015The spicy chile had crushed eggs and pork with the perfect amount of heat but the rye noodles were perhaps the best noodle I've ever had
- Christine LMarch 3, 2017I don't want to compare Ivan Ramen w/ others (diehard Ippudo fan here) bc it tastes different. In a good way. The spicy red chili ramen w/ added roasted tomato was tasty. Great chew to the noodles.
- David RiordanDecember 25, 2014Everything is a surprise and delight; clearly obsessed over. Coney Island tofu is a standout starter and chicken confit ramen is basically the best chicken noodle soup you'll ever have.
- Fouad ElAmirApril 25, 2017Ivan and his team, are a master at their craft. They take their ramen seriously, and so should you. So when they tell you to soak the mushrooms, you do it.
- Ben MackeyFebruary 21, 2017Oh man, that edamame hummus is amazing. Equal parts garlicky and minty but not at the same time.
- MarcMay 13, 2014Tasting Table: "Ivan Orkin, who perfected his noodle and broth game in Japan, finally opens a ramen-ya on the Lower East Side. There are dry and soupy styles, along with plenty of small plates."
- Kim PhamMarch 26, 2015While not your typical broth-y ramen, the triple garlic triple pork mazemen is UNREAL. Mix it up before you dive in and it's umami to the max.
- Sam LoganDecember 14, 2017This place is definilty worth a visit. Great traditional ramen AND interesting "American" ramen dishes. The fried chicken is bonkers good. Funky, hip decorations too.
- naveenJune 3, 2015the breakfast ramen is delicious, but might be too much for just one person, so order that up as the 'table ramen' and share it with your crew.
- Bob RutledgeAugust 6, 2014Rec'd by NYTimes: Pickled daikon XO; Chinese broccoli & garlic; pork meatballs; JFC; Tofu Coney Island; roast pork musubi; triple pork/garlic mazemen; vegetarian shoyu ramen; spicy red chile ramen.
- Erika GrijalvaOctober 15, 2014Shoyu is ver delicious but so is the spicy ramen. I first tried Ivan at Gotham West Market, and it has become one of my favorites ever since. The egg is a must.
- A FAugust 16, 2014Creative ramen creations in an eclectic space. Even the Vegetarian Ramen is -- if not the city's best bargain -- bold, rich and memorable. Start with the Chinese Broccoli & Garlic.
- K MApril 11, 2019The chicken karaage is different, but definitely in a good way. The shio ramen was perfect, loved the soft-boiled eggs.
- EileenFebruary 10, 2018Spicy red chili ramen was good but the soup was too viscous/salty at the end. I'd have preferred normal ramen noodles over the rye noodles. Chicken paitan was good. Add the roasted tomato topping!
- JeffreyJuly 13, 2014Ramen and then deep-fried chicken livers and hearts, a Caesar riff with tofu dressing and anchovy-Parmesan fricos, fried tofu with a veggie-chili-dog topping, and the Lancaster okonomiyaki.
- Quan NguyenNovember 23, 2014They text you if there's a wait, so nearby bars are great options. The shio, shoyu, and spicy chilli, ramens are great. Solid broth and noodles in all of them.
- Get My Grub On! www.getmygrubon.coSeptember 22, 2015My friends didn't agree but I loved my shoyu ramen. The cold ramen and creative and brilliant smoked meat buns were awesome too.
- DanJanuary 19, 2016Pickled daikon and pork meatballs were great starters for two people. The spicy red chili ramen is delicious - not too hot either. Pleasant and knowledgable service.
- Josef SzottenFebruary 6, 2016Get the tofu Coney Island starter that everyone talks about. It's worth it. Ramen as well as device was great too.
- Doris FongJune 7, 2014Pickled daikon, pork meatballs and kewpie ebi. Triple pork triple garlic mazemen for the win!! & Yuzu lemonade to sip down with it 😋
- Nicole FormicaOctober 21, 2017The triple pork triple garlic is a must try. Very different type of ramen, with very little broth but explosions of flavor!
- Hannah ParvazFebruary 20, 2017The vegetarian/vegan ramen option is delicious. A dark broth and so many flavours, the tofu blew my mind.
- Eli ShowalterApril 5, 2015I've never had dandan mien at a ramen joint before, but it was really good! The noodles are really what set this place off, right about bounce and chewiness. Friendly staff too!
- The chicken paitan is rich, but not overpowering. Get this if you want something less spicy. Make sure to add the roasted tomatoes; it's mandatory.
- CassidySeptember 19, 2014tofu Coney Island was overrated but holy god I could eat my body weight in those meatballs. cheese and garlic ramens especially excellent.
- Christina ChinApril 2, 2016Got latke app, was good but the roe was too big for me and strong dill taste. Shoyu was tasty, really love the rye noodles. Friendly staff
- Jacob AronoffJune 24, 2018Amazing tsukemen! Very rich broth, with perfect chashu. It also made me love spicy collard greens!
