The Getty Center offers a substantial collection of art pieces including sculptures, paintings, stencils, photography, and is an almost unique place to look at the whole of Los Angeles at once.

The museum's official Sketching Gallery encourages guests to literally draw inspiration from traditional art pieces. Guests can work with an easel or at a shared table, and it's complimentary.

Try to take a docent tour and learn about art, the Getty or the gardens. There's also a 15 minute focus tour on the collection piece of the week.

Thrilled to have them open. I am vaccinated, stayed masked, and felt very safe. Inside is always tricky. Not every guest is mindful. But they've done a good job with keeping numbers lower.
