- KinaJuly 14, 2015Love the fried chicken blt. The warm chipotle turkey sandwich is amazing too. For beer get the speak easy baby daddy session IPA or the Jake's house Lager.

- XavierJuly 26, 2015Best bar ever, you can sing while you are drinking that's is a party!!!! SING-ALONG WITH MEL.
- A legendary Boston restaurant which badly needs a reboot. Standard American fare with some German dishes is pretty good. The sing alongs are fun too.
- Alexandros PlexidasMay 12, 2016Good selection of beers and nice place to watch a game with friends and grab a bite. However very poor in healthy options.
- Carlos GironSeptember 1, 2012Excellent German food. The German mixed grill was fantastic. Fish and chips were very good as well. Beer selection is great!
- German food at it's best! Fried pickles, beer pitchers, potato pancakes, wienerschnitzel, and a great piano sing-a-long on Fridays!
- BostonTweetJuly 29, 201014Jacob Wirth, Boston's favorite German Ale House since 1868, pours from an extensive beer list and delivers a 1/4 pound Angus beef burger with a Bud Light draft for just $5 every Mon-Frid until 2pm.
- Jeanie NguyenJuly 27, 2015Def go to sing along with Mel (on Friday nights!) the best way to kick off your weekend. Cheap pitchers, meh bar food
- Kevin ReillyNovember 6, 2012Great atmosphere, excellent service. The beer is tops...fresh and crisp. Too bad they close at 9 pm (Monday).
- Gianna NebbiaJanuary 24, 2016Total pub atmosphere. No frills but good burgers and sausages! It's a big place and gets really crowded!
- Graham J.April 12, 2011The Sam Adams Boston Brick Red is pretty much impossible to find anywhere outside of Boston, and it may very well be the perfect beer. Make sure to try it here.
- Stevie P.September 13, 2014Great service even on a Saturday night. Clam chowder and cornbread is an epic meal on the cheap.

- Paul HeadleyOctober 12, 2015Don't k ow why we ordered a hamburger in a German joint, but lesson learned. Stick with the sausages. The beer list will keep me coming back.
- NathanNovember 24, 2012Please pull the inner door to as you enter and exit in wintertime. Also, don't sit at the door end of the bar.
- If you're willing to spend a little extra on a beer, try the Aventinus - it's phenomenal.
- Jake SmithAugust 24, 2012THEY HAVE ROOT BEER FLOATS. FOR $1 EACH. They also have Guinness Floats for $5.
- Niels BoegholmJuly 19, 2015Don't go here for the food - it is as far from German food as Your local Chinese take-out is original Chinese cuisine. Tried the jäger schnitzel and the sauerbraten - both mediocre.
- Try the Spaten Optimator on tap! This may be the only place in Boston to get it.
- They'll often have beers not listed on any menu. Make sure to ask if they have anything special on tap.
