Dane B: Definitely have to come back for the Big Tray Chicken, but I can say that the pork pancake is fantastic. Better than the pork burger at Xi'an. Crank it up to 11 with some of the chili oil on the side.

AlAnoud A AlGhunaim: Loud, candlelit, crowded but all in all splendid! Welcoming staff, they took their time to answer our questions. Burrata, oysters, ricotta dumplings and lamb ribs were amazing! Definitely coming back✨

Dan Lam: Great NYC institution. You can sit down and eat or take out to go. Knishes go for $3.75 and specials are more. Try the mushroom or chocolate. Credit card minimum $10.
Giulia M: Worth the wait! (Tip: Arrive right when it opens at 6pm, short line and you’ll probably get a table). Waiters are very friendly and helpful - got a few off the menu drinks that were amazing!
Jennifer Yu: This place holds so many memories for me. Never a meal without their salt and pepper fried squid over rice with a runny egg. Other favs: sweet and sour fried pork chops. Garlic chicken. Beef chow fun.

Jennifer Yu: One of the last old school Canto diners around. Get a few dim sum dishes, but my favorite is actually the steamed fish to go. Never hurts to grab some zong too.

Jennifer Yu: A longtime Chinatown staple who needs our support more than ever. $5.95 lunch special comes with a main, side rice and side soup. It really doesn’t get better than that (please don’t forget to tip!)

Tea Room · Chinatown · 26 tips and reviews
Jennifer Yu: Yes, the place could use a facelift. But the service is the friendliest, the coffee is actually good, and you can’t beat the price. I have never loved something so plain until I came across Silk Road.
Jennifer Yu: I don’t know what I love more. The fact that it’s not a generic wine list or the fact that you feel like you’re in a living room that’s not atypical of NYC living room standards. What a gem.

Jennifer Yu: Arrived at 5:00 for the burger and was #2 in line for opening at 5:30. Excellent bar service! “You deserve this” the bartender said as he served the burger to me 😭 No detail goes by unnoticed.
Jennifer Yu: Well priced wines by the bottle, carafe or glass and a food menu. Love the open space in the back where there’s couches and tables. So cozy!

Jennifer Yu: No matter the time of the day, this place never disappoints. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the burger and the bucatini cacio e pepe are my favorites.
