jetBlue has the nicest terminal at JFK (T5). You can also find the TWA Hotel at T5. Arrange pick up at Lefferts Blvd for easier access.
I spend most of my time here in Terminal 5, which has great food. I wish it was possible to travel between terminals before flights and after securityUpvoted Dec 4, 2024

Nice airport, if you are coming on ESTA and its not your first time, you will be in line with US-citizens, so no 1-hour waiting, it takes like 10 mins. max. Also there is no free WIFI.

Absolute mad house the passanger pickup in this place. However you can always play hide and seek with the security by stopong where the groups are bt the road and coordinate qith the passanger.
If you're hungry (and even if you're not) you HAVE GOT to try the Chicken Avocado sandwich at CamdenFoods Co! It's the taste of heaven!
T4 is the best terminal, but still JFK is the worse managed as you sit on runways for ever sometimes. The TWA hotel is cool to see. If you need to go to city hop on train to Jamaica station.
Still trying to discover what’s the cheapest way (Uber/ Lyft/ yellow cab) to get to and from the airport-Manhattan. Beware landing late at night! Uber and Lyft rates skyrocket up to $250!!

Don't be mislead by the first "American" sign you see. It's got spelling mistake, they really were trying to say "US Airways". The real AA checkin is in the back, all the way in the back.

JFK is accessible via train which LGA and EWR do not. My Uber from midtown Manhattan would have been $109 but taking the E train express ($2.90) and connecting to Airtrain ($9.25) saved time & $$.
Sammy's beach bar & grill is a great way to knock yourself out for a redeye. 'Course you're paying out the ass, but it's Sammy Hagar's personal Hard Rock Cafe. You like Chickenfoot? Sick bro.

For those of you traveling from airports like Baton Rouge & San Angelo where TSA & Airline Staff are pleasant, you're in for a culture shock. Everyone has an attitude. You need to be aggressive here!

New Fares mean that your total for Airtrain + one-way subway/bus metro ride (anywhere in NYC) ...is now $7.50. Short of a helicopter, this economic route is possibly your fastest bet during rush hours

The 19th-busiest airport in the world & 6th-busiest in the US by passenger traffic. Handled 50,423,765 passengers (2013). Has 6 terminals containing 128 gates, num 1–8, but skipping Terminal 6 & 3.
Terminal 5: Muji to go is super helpful for picking up last minute travel size cosmetics and it's super cheap!
TingOctober 28, 2015Love the city but not so much this airport. Huge airport. Head onto the Airtrain to federal circle for car rental or Jamaica/ Howard beach stations for subway into the city.
Deep Blue (Terminal 5) is the absolute best Sushi you can have at any airport. Try it if you are flying with Jet Blue.
Cheapest way to get to JFK: With a metrocard, take the 3 (or 4 sometimes) train to New Lots stop. Take the B15 to Terminal 4. If needed, take AirTrain for free to other terminals. You're welcome.

DaxFebruary 27, 2014If you're flying into the US, and have a connecting flight, make SURE you go to the area that says CONNECTING FLIGHTS otherwise they'll tell you to go thru gen pop security & you WILL MISS YOUR FLIGHT
To get to anywhere near 14th St., including the East Village and Union Square, take the AirTrain to Howard Beach, A to Broadway Junction, then L to Manhattan.
Flying into terminal 4 with checked baggage? You have just enough time to hustle to Shake Shack and back right as your bags come out. Bonus points if you eat in the taxi line and make everyone jealous

Grab a cup of coffee from the Starbucks in the direction of terminal 26. You will need it after that long ass wait at the security check point

JetBlue has the easiest to navigate, not to mention the cleanest and well-designed terminal at JFK. They are the best airline by far.
This is a frequent base for the Cosmos' inter- and transcontinental journeys. The rebooted team flew from here to England for their very first trip as a team, in July 2013.
The airport is not that Fantastic, doesn't hold a candle to Asian airports, but it's where you go from here that makes it worth coming
Restaurants at JFK are above average for airport food-you have a lot to choose from (french,sushi,tapas,pizza and baked by Melissa cupcakes)
