    Terminal 7 is tiny so I suggest sticking yourself in the pub and getting comfy. You can hear all hate announcements from there and the staff will charge your phone for you!

    The jetBlue terminal is great! Lots of food options, bars, shops, and even a mini-spa. Oh, did I mention free wi-fi?!

    T4: Buffalo Wild Wings bar has outlets under the bar top next to coat hooks! Beers, burgers and recharge!

    Come on! Take the Subway !!! Bloomberg cleaned and have it working Amazing! Save the 80$ and do something different.! Faster, Cheaper, and no Traffic Jam!

    You can catch the subway to the city, but it's a 45minute+ trip and all cabs have a flat fare.

    Next time you are traveling to and from New York City, go the "Green" way and use the subway and connect with the Airtrain. It only cost 5 dollars to use the Airtrain to/from Howard Beach or Sutphin s

    If you can get tsa pre check you'll have a quick and easy ride through security. Otherwise it seems inconsistent as to whether you take your shoes off, etc. Pretty efficient system though.

    The only airport worldwide you don't get free wifi in the airport! You will be charged 8 US $ to join! Really not a friendly airport! So check out the airline lounges, admirals club gas free wifi

    If you should wait your flight more then 3 hours here, especially in the morning, you have problems. Almost nowhere to sit down and wait, or have breakfast. Everything is after you checked in (

    Remember two years ago, I wrote a tip about the pricing? Just get a smartphone, go tether, call your carrier and stop the data plan while you're away. Problem solved, saved $10/mo., get more use.

    Jet Blue Terminal 5 - Love the free WiFi, and check out the comfy lounge chairs at the end of the gates (ie by gates 14&15)

    JFK is incredibly outdated for handicapped or people with heavy luggage. Welcome to NYC - now carry those bags down the steps and walk a mile to baggage claim!

    There are designated areas around the airport that will exchange air travel for money. Just pay with cash or credit card and you can sit in a flying chair for up to 14 hours.

    If you're in terminal 8, get your in-air meal at Cibo Express, two doors down from Victoria's Secret. Bring cash; card machine is down often.

    I was told that this is one of the newer airports. Not many seating areas at the departure area. Most secure airport I've ever been with so much scanning that took longer than 20 minutes.

    Take the Air Train to Jamaica Station ($5) and the Long Island Railroad to NY Penn Station ($8.75) for a cheap and convenient way into the city.

    So I finally learned that if you have light luggage you should totally take the long island railway into the city from JFK. Way cheaper and 20 mins to get to Manhattan.

    Dont get intimidated in hailing a yellow cab. Dont forget 15% tip. Before you go out to take a cab you can buy sim card. We got $75 unlimited

    Try to enroll yourself in TSA Pre Check. I have it and on my last flight, security took my just under 10 minutes while all the other security lines were packed.

    Get to a Xpress Spa if you're waiting for a transfer. Stress massage or neck and back massage to rub those air miles away and do the last stretch of your journey in top shape.

    T5/JetBlue is definitely the way to go! Short security lines, friendly and efficient staff. Plenty of outlets to plug in and charge and free and speedy WiFi.
