John Kraft: I got Griddled Appalachian Pork, super tender & like thick slice of “unpulled” pork. Accidentally included the sriracha honey drizzle I asked to omit, but wasn’t too hot at all. Delish biscuits too.
John Kraft: A good basic stay reminiscent of a Hampton Inn. Great shower head & water pressure. Room seemed clean & staff friendly. Bathrooms always need more towel hooks. Didn’t try the included breakfast.

John Kraft: Went 2 days in row while vacationing in Asheville since loving A.B.E. in Destin. Wife gets Floridian (crab meat omelette) & I got bananas foster waffle 1 day & pumpkin waffle the next.Buy a mug too.
John Kraft: Nice simple waterfall right next to the road. Easy to see from road level, or take a few sets of steps to get closer view from lower vantage point. Long stretch of roadside parking helped too.

Seafood Restaurant · 6 tips and reviews
John Kraft: Good, basic seafood as it should be for 50 yrs.(sign said since 1968). We had rainbow trout, lightly breaded & fried just right. Baked potato & slaw. Small o-ring platter was plenty to share for ~$3.

Scenic Lookout · 59 tips and reviews
John Kraft: Smooth, paved trail, but quite a hike given the rise in elevation & distance in the thinner air of 6,000+ feet. At least some benches along the way. Very windy at top & often socked-in with clouds.
John Kraft: Make your own pizza with olive oil base, steak, caramelized onions & cheese. Great. Wife likes the Holy Shitake & Blue Moon. Split a small half-n-half if not starving.
John Kraft: Sufficient for a Hampton Inn. Appears clean, staff friendly at check in, free breakfast is ok, plus cookies, coffee/hot tea station available in evenings.
John Kraft: It’s Chick-fil-A, so unless you’ve been under a rock or in some remote village for 50 yrs, all the usual selections apply. Friendly staff & the store operator on-hand & helping keeps service hopping.
John Kraft: Best Krystal experience in a long time. Friendly, helpful workers & my burgers were fixed correctly. Oh, college students (GT nearby) get discount with ID.

BBQ Joint · 29 tips and reviews
John Kraft: Naturally, we get the BBQ (pork). They have a variety of sauces & the sides are good too: mac & cheese, baked beans & cole slaw are our go-to’s. Tea good too. Odd layout inside, but seems to work.
John Kraft: What’s good? Uh, burgers. Seriously, got a “junior” (single - it’s big enough), with “frings,” fries & o-rings. Tea was not quite to par today, but otherwise, very good.
John Kraft: Just opened June ‘18. Good 1st visit. Tips: Single butter burger basket (fun to say) & a small sundae afterward (small is plenty big for most) & try the cheese curds if you like fried mozzarella.
John Kraft: Public ranges, but membership gives more access. Finally joined & went to the highly-rated club. Even w/ high expectations, it didn’t disappoint. Delicious trout, crab cakes, sides, drinks & dessert.
