John Kraft: Maybe our fave Asheville area restaurant. Eclectic diner vibe with interesting decor, good drinks, food, desserts & service. We split deep dish pizza & still had leftovers. Awesome coconut cream pie.

Burger Joint · 46 tips and reviews
John Kraft: It was very crowded. It took a long time to get food so beware if in a hurry, but food was good. I got a regular burger & the 50/50 side with tots & rings.

John Kraft: Often a line out the door, so if there's not, take advantage. Also, if line IS long, go next door to the connected, smaller version with limited offerings of most popular items, but less wait.
John Kraft: I had prosciutto-wrapped cod on succotash & puréed squash. Wife: pan-seared trout, corn soufflé & Brussels Sprouts she raved over. Free biscuits & all great. Her margarita ok, but smallish. honey/jam.
Gift Store · Downtown Asheville · 28 tips and reviews
John Kraft: Fun place with tons of clothes, shoes, throwback candies, knick knacks galore & outdoor supplies across 2 levels. Helpful employees. A bit pricey but quality items & worth a stop.
John Kraft: Good local doughnut shop. Sour cream ones have crispy edges - good cake doughnuts. Also, they often toss in a couple of bonus doughnut holes. Put your change in the tip jar.
John Kraft: We’ve been going here for a number of years & would go more but it’s a long way from home. We get the traditional gyro platter with fries & drink. If we went more often, we’d try something else.
