Fish & chips very good. Beer lovers will enjoy the self-pour & pay-by-ounce sampling “wall of taps.” It’s all tracked on your tab card. When done, drop it in box & go. It settles to your credit card.
Here’s my 2nd tip from 2nd visit here. This time we ate inside where you can appreciate the retro decor. Parmesan chips good. Steak & cheese sandwich also good. Everyone seemed pleased.
Out of pork & brisket? Would be inexcusable except will cut a break for post-pandemic supply chain issues. BBQ chicken ok. Wife liked her 4-bone ribs better. Good salad & dressing & 1/2 loaf o-rings.
Not bad but not outstanding. I’d go back. Large servings of fish & chips just $10+, but think it was catfish vs. cod. Cole slaw average. The fries above average. Will try Johnny Cash burger next time.
Met friends & sat at bar. I had BR-Old Fashioned & lobster club sandwich w/ fries. VERY good. Upscale food & prices to match. Also, looks like you must valet park, but seems you can go past.
A yr after my 1st review, FT still very good. Now I got the parm/potato encrusted flounder w/ superfood medley & spinach. Delicious - as was 4-cheese crab dip app & chocolate Charlotte (both shared).
They have things some of the other specialty stores don’t. And in March, can’t beat their Irish Soda Bread & Hot Cross Buns.
Recently opened in late 2020 or early 2021. Doing a good job with sanitation & dividers between booths. Rolls, steak, salad & baked potato all on point this visit! Very good.
They outfitted the men & little boys for daughter’s wedding & everyone looked very nice. A minor mixup when they initially handed me 1 of groomsmen’s suits who had same 1st name, but quickly fixed.
Can’t rate as a hotel, but was a nice venue for daughter’s wedding. They stayed in bridal suite & it was very charmingly decorated & looked very nice.
This was good. We had a big crowd here for the guys while girls were doing a fancy bridal luncheon next door. Good bbq, slaw & tea for my part.
Longstanding breakfast spot in Athens. Bring cash, no cards. Have gotten good biscuits in past. Got pancakes & crispy bacon this time.
This McDonald’s is a classic waypoint between Savannah & Atlanta for literally decades. Gas stations nearby as well.
We like the Hibachi chicken lunch with steamed rice. The ginger dressing for the salad tastes different than it used to. All was pretty good, but we actually prefer Volcano now for this type fare.
It opened fall 2020, where Ippolito’s was. Went for lunch for 1st time today. Very good chicken parm panini on homemade bread (pic). Salad & bread included. Wife got mushroom pasta dish & liked it.
1st visit was lunch today. Got shrimp & fries for $7.99. Menu didn’t say it came w/drink, but it did. Took a good 10 min after ordering, but food was blazing hot from the fryer as they cook to order.
It was better than we expected. Wife’s tuna sandwich was good. It’s been a while now, but think I got a Cuban sandwich, also good.
Somewhat hectic visit given our large party, sitting on covered deck with intermittent drizzles. Burger & sides “good,” as I recall.
Good, old-fashioned family restaurant. Fried shrimp fresh & nicely done. Wife’s grouper-finger appetizer with a side was huge, though more like nuggets. Get homemade onion petals vs. the onion rings.
Another great experience at this new A.B.E. location, closer to our Miramar Beach vacay spot. Great Bananas Foster Belgian Waffle (egg/bacon included) & Floridian crabmeat omelette.
They have “distanced” inside dining as of 10/2020. Many choices. Single butter burger combo big enough for me. Tea kinda’ weak & boo 😕 Pepsi products. Try cheese curds if you like fried mozzarella.
