- Harish HoonJanuary 29, 2015I know this is in the middle of tourist central but if you're in Hell's Kitchen and are craving good pizza this is the place to come to. Added bonus is that they have Palm on tap!Upvoted 1 week ago
- Victor VillaApril 1, 2015Authentic Italian menu in the heart of Manhattan. The locals recommended it so that's where I went! They also offer a whole grain pizza for dieters just out for a craving! Will return one day! :3
- Mike GilmourDecember 1, 2013BEST pizza in NYC! This place is amazing - everything from the food to the fact it's a renovated church makes this a must-visit place! We'll definitely be visiting again next time we're in Manhattan.
- The Corcoran GroupDecember 17, 2010One of our favorite places to come for a pizza dinner with friends! This huge space is open late. Try a Traditional with Prosciutto and Basil. Fried Calamari is good too!
- Fun fact: John's of Times Square is a church transformed into an Italian eatery. Would make a great stop after your Broadway show. Pizza here is oh-so-delish, can't really mess up a cheese pie in NYC!
- A must visit if you're in NYC. Excellent thin crust pizza; though the Margarita is a bit underwhelming. Great service, atmosphere, and definitely order the cheesecake.
- Joao Veloso JrAugust 16, 2015The saloon makes clear it used to be a church before a pizza place. Nice to see great meal value in the heart of Manhattan. Fair price and good pizza
- Luis MachadoDecember 28, 2014Went to John's Pizzeria to taste the classic New York pizza and was not disappointed. I ordered a margherita pizza with pepporoni, a Brooklyn Lager and for desert had a cheescake. Everything was great
- Patrick ShawSeptember 22, 2015One of our favorite pizza places in the heart of the Theater District and Time Square. Awesome space!
- Dr NickDecember 29, 2018Absolutely one of the best if not the best pizza I have ever eaten. I got a large Margherita pizza with pepperoni, sun dried tomatoes, and extra cheese. Reasonably prices for NY at around ~$35. Worthy
- Tana WaltersJanuary 25, 2020Great location, amazing pizza and inside is old church so huge. Have 4 pizza ovens. We also ordered wings and a salad which were good also
- Ahmed ShreefOctober 22, 20142nd time here. a good place to have dinner with friends. The pizza is good. Just take care that they don't serve slices, I had to eat it all on my own . You will eat it all anyway as it's delicious.
- Jineen CarcamoMarch 6, 2017always a good spot to grab a slice with a group or family when you're stuck in time square/theatre district area and hungry for some NYC pizza
- Dr Michael LangeApril 9, 2017i come to vision expo every year and always eat at johns. They have some of the best pizza i have ever had and three can eat and drink for less than $100 in NYC can u believe that!!
- Marco NuñezJuly 25, 2023A hidden gem and one of the great pizza I ever had! With a charcoal oven that gives a special and unique taste!!!
- TheresaMarch 5, 2018Seating, staff and everything else was just simply perfect. Do yourself a favor and try the garlic rolls - you will not regret it!
- Roger RJune 3, 2016Cool spot. Dinning hall is old school looks like a theater and low lighting gives the place a nice ambiance. Pizza is coal fired and above average for NYC..but that's better than anything out of NYC
- Hugh WarrenDecember 26, 2019The arugula salad is delicious and the pizza tastes like it was just made. We ordered a meat lovers and margarita pizza. The best pizza in Times Square.
- StefanoBlack▒October 25, 2011John's has the best traditional, thin-crust, New York-style pie. And this is their best location to experience - a huge, beautiful, sweeping former cathedral, complete with stained-glass windows.
- Květinka LéňaFebruary 10, 2017The best pizza I have ever had!!!! Huge portions, just one pizza for two people may be enough. So delicious!!! And great beer as well. Go there!
- Richard PeaseJune 15, 2015Try the Linguine And Clams With White Clam Sauce - A generous portion that is the perfect balance of pasta, clams and sauce. #filling #tasty #pastalikememamade (via @Foodspotting)
- Bob RutledgeMarch 7, 2014I ate at the bar and received exceptional service, equivalent to four-star pleasant, friendly-but-not-overly-so, deferential, excellently trained service. Closer to Michelin-star than "pizza joint".
- Janelle A.August 23, 2011Best pizza in New York! Freshly made (in front of you if you get a good seat), and not too much sauce. Great tasting, big slices! Go with classic pepperoni you won't regret it. Pastas are good too.
- Harumi UDecember 31, 2014Others foods are also good but obviously they are known for their pizza. At meal time a line can be very long so especially at lunch time if you have fixed amount of time you can be out, beat crowd
- Sandi ReynoldsMarch 31, 2014One of my favorite pizza places in NYC. Love the Margherita and the Pizza Bianca. Make sure you check out the ceiling while you are there.
- Spiros TheocharisAugust 20, 2016The place is really friendly and the architecture of the indoors building was a surprise. The pizza was fantastic(try the Hawaiian). The staff was unprofessional as hell. Pity for the latter.
- Sean SoaresMarch 24, 2015This place is awesome! Excellent pizza and lots of other choices to chose from. This will be a mandatory stop whenever I'm in NYC!
- New York HabitatNovember 15, 2011The old church atmosphere is spectacular but the pizza is just as amazing. Nice thin crust with a brick-oven taste, come here for the quintessential New York pizza.
- Great pizza and great fun! Service is always great and well worth any wait.
- Andrea D'AmbrosioNovember 16, 2015Awesome pizza! Even better sausage rolls! Love Johns pizza, been coming here since I'm a kid and it is always a treat
- Jin MoonAugust 12, 2017Their pizza is made from a brick oven and the dough was thin. It was pretty greasy. Best to get rid of the crowd and go for Rays.
- Oliver HJune 13, 2013Solid pizza, surprisingly good penne alls vodka. Clears out at 7p w the theater crowd. Fast turnover.
- Get the Garlic Rolls!! Get them NOW! Oh, and if you get seated in the front of the restaurant...be sure to check out the ceiling in the back!!
- BlackBook MagazineDecember 4, 2012MICHELE MAIS' 2nd pick: "Eggplant, sausage, onions, & black olives...that's what's in what I call my 'Mais'ey Pizza. Sometimes crowded, but the servers are always friendly" Read more
- Katie TuohyDecember 23, 2014Gorgeous place to sit and have some really great pizza. It's usually crowded, but that's part of the charm.
- Yasmin KOctober 5, 2014You can make your own pizza combination. Pizzas are all delicious, but you may also find many alternatives on the menu.
- Nathan WrightDecember 24, 2014Family-friendly atmosphere and worth the wait if you can snag a Brooklyn Lager in the bar area. 🍻🍕
- Kassie MJune 20, 2015The mozzarella sticks were amazing and the fact it's in an old Broadway theater is worth the trip on its own.
- Edgar ESeptember 11, 2015Prosciutto and black olive pizza! Traditional pizza with ricotta! Keep me coming back
- If you want a step up from the reg pizza shops this is your place! Great pizza, nice staff. Good for dates and groups!
- Lou CarulliFebruary 24, 2015One of my go to pizza spots in mid town NYC! Great old school thin crust pizza!
- Kim JonesFebruary 1, 2014A small pizza is equivalent to most places medium pizza!! Calamari is delicious!!! Everything comes out piping hot!! Wings were yummy too.
- drew tarvinMay 19, 2015A classic New York place to get a pizza pie. Check out the mural of New York on the wall.
- EricaAugust 10, 2014This former church is a bustling place to have lunch and feel like you're having authentic NY pizza... If you're a tourist.
- Natasha BlairJanuary 14, 2011Has it all - great service, amazing atmosphere (old church) and incredible food. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu but you're here for the 'za!
