- Linda FelterMay 14, 2014We weren't sure what we were getting into when we walked in. But the Don Juan (HUMONGOUS breakfast tacos served all day) was well worth the lack of atmosphere! Get extra tortillas.
- Everyone says get the Don Juan (and we do often). But if you're not in a DJ frame of mind, get a egg/potato/bean taco. Absolutely delicious and a bit more manageable. Add salsa and you are set.
- Linda SamSeptember 8, 2014I heard raves about this place and its true! Homestyle cooking. The Carne Guisada was great! My personal fave is the breakfast taco: nopales with egg.
- Nicole RibaudoSeptember 15, 2019If you order the Don Juan (which you should), make sure to get extra tortillas!
- Justin BretonMay 7, 2014Don't come here for the decor and atmosphere (it's a little sketchy)... Come here for the Don Juan Tacos! They're incredible. Skip the guacamole, though. It tastes like Play Doh. #austineats

- Austin ChronicleJune 18, 2013These easy-on-the-wallet, plentiful platters have delivered many Austinites from hangovers and Tex-Mex hankerings since 1980. For $4.50, the "Don Juan" El Taco Grande will challenge you to a duel.

- Meagan ♑March 13, 2014Shook Juan's hand this morning and then carried my food baby from the famous Don Juan taco down the street to the car--parking was tight during sxsw.
