Good coffee in Singapore

Kars Alfrink: Absolutely one of the best places for specialty coffee in SG. Beans are light roasted and pour overs are expertly prepared. They occupy a cozy little space tucked away in the corner of an HDB flat.

Kars Alfrink: I've been working my ass off trying as much coffee in town as I can and this place is hands-down at the top of the pack. Light roasted single origin coffees hand brewed to perfection. Bravo.

Kars Alfrink: Aeropress, espresso and cold brew are all excellent. Large, impressive space but a bit messy/grimy. In a public transport desert so mostly patronised by the exceedingly well-off. Service hit and miss.

Kars Alfrink: Big trendy place. Gets crowded on weekends. They serve great specialty coffee but I prefer spots where it's all about the product. The people serving me couldn't tell me much about my cup.

Kars Alfrink: Very solid breakfast menu available most of the day. They also know their specialty coffee. I usually get a filter. They extract longer than I would but that's just personal preference.

Kars Alfrink: Jewel is the most dependable group of cafes for specialty coffee in the city. As with all locations this branch has the usual attractive interior and knowledgeable staff preparing excellent pour over.

Kars Alfrink: They do high quality pour over coffee here. One of the best spots in town for sure.

Kars Alfrink: I was skeptical going in because of the fancy interior and a list location. But the pour over coffee is well made and the beans are on point. Plus, only 5 SGD. Go.

Kars Alfrink: One of the best options for a first rate cup single origin pour over coffee in the area. I usually go for lighter roasts but their style is beginning to grow on me.

Kars Alfrink: They serve high quality filter coffee here. Throw in friendly staff, attractive interior and good music and we have a winner.

Kars Alfrink: Attractive interior although you might find it is trying too hard to look steampunk industrial even though you're in a mall. The coffee is prepared correctly but the taste is underwhelming.

Kars Alfrink: Brews are okay but come from Alpha Dominche machines—which in my opinion takes the fun out of the specialty coffee thing. Serving as pictured with a ridiculously small mug which hampers tasting. Meh.
