The staff is AMAZING!!! So friendly and willing to expand your palate. The Uni raw dish was out of this world and all of the sushi was best I have ever had. They know their fish and do it right.
I can't say about good things about Katsuya. Awesome ambiance, incredible food. Crunchy spicy tuna, lobster roll, and lemonsalmon roll were standouts. Wagyu beef was also great.
Definitely one of favorite places for dinner on my visits to Hollywood. The jalapenohamachi, caviarsalmon and crab hand rolls are a must have. Great place for good times and delicious sushi.
Loved the place and decoration the drinks are amazing but i spected more from the food. The food was nothing good. 😒i recommended if you're gonna hangout not if you're looking for a good place to eat
Katsuya has a similar feel to their Brentwood outpost with a slightly-expanded hot-food menu that includes dishes like Roasted Kobe Style Tender Loin Beef with Wasabi Soy Aju. Read more
#2 most amazing sushi restaurant. Worth it to try seared tuna with sliced tomatoes! Fine and yummy. California rolls and "basic" sushi are cheap. Cocktails are expensive.
Loved this Katsuya. First time to this location. I have a weakness for tuna tacos. They do not disappoint. Amazingly friendly staff, lots of great tips on they specialty menu.
Order the Rock Shrimp tempura roll for appetizer and the Kobe beef w Foie Gras for your mains. They also have selections of fresh and refreshing fruit coolers.
In the middle of Hollywood, you'll find a celebrity crowd in this Philippe Starck designed palace of sushi goodness. The rock shrimp tempura is out of this world. Strongly recommend reservations.
Even Brad Pitt and R.Pattz like their rockshrimp tempura at reasonable prices, which makes reservations a must. Tip:If Hollywood is booked, try Katsuya Brentwood, Glendale or downtown.
One of our fave spots during X Games when we're here at L.A. LIVE. and this weekend we're hookin it up with a 15% discount at @Katsuya L.A. LIVE with your X Games ticket!
Consider take-out! On busy weekend nights the yellowtail w/jalepeno is pre-prepped & refrigerated and thus, flavorless. But the Chef cuts fresh for to-go orders.
Wasn't that impressed. Good came out at all different time. So different the miso soup came out at the end of the meal. Been eating Japanese food all y life and that was s first.
Order their Kiwi Envy and a bottle of sake. Mix and match from their traditional sushi menu and their fusion dishes. Crispy rice & tuna, Miso cod and Katsuya roll - awesome.
