- Wine in the garden after work was lovely, until the "whoa"... closed at 8:30 p.m. It's a coffee place after all. A lovely garden and great coffee!
- The garden is beautiful! Espresso is very good and more Italian style (less intense/overwhelming than your average american hipster espresso).
- Andrew CafourekOctober 14, 2013If you have your own hotspot and it is nice outside, the outdoor area is great for working. Otherwise, the lack of public wifi and limited indoor seating mean you should find another spot.
- Andrew FurmanOctober 21, 2015They've closed the garden for good as of 2013 in order to save money on rent. Coffee is good, and there are some seats inside and on the sidewalk. No wifi tho.
- @JaumePrimeroApril 20, 2012Great cappuccinos, very cute garden out back, and the best destination in the meat packing area for coffee. Will def be a regular here!
- Chris CarellaOctober 26, 2013Kava is where I fell in love with Machiattos. Great backyard seating when the weather is nice.
- Serious EatsApril 21, 2013A source for great coffee near the High Line in an attractively designed spot.
- Try the Fritata Brioche - Such a delicious layers of cream cheese, tomato and eggs snuck inside a brioche.
- Margot MazurFebruary 7, 2015Interesting spot playing football complete with bagels and pre-made sandwiches. Killer macchiato.
- Anand SAugust 7, 2011After you place your order, walk through the red door in the back for the spacious garden. A great summertime place for breakfast and a book.
- Scott KurttilaNovember 8, 2011Excellent coffee, great decor, awesome garden in the back and stays open fairly late. It's a Meatpacking Zen Gem.
- Love the cappuccino at this joint. And don't forget to check out the back patio.
- Justine Weeks SutleyMay 27, 2013This seems to be my spot for warming up, cooling off and drying off before or after visiting the Highline Park.
- AristipposApril 1, 2013Interesting combination of a place with demanding coffee and a night club/bar (art deco) atmosphere.
- Leticia CuevasJuly 27, 2015Nothing like grabbing a morning coffee from Kava, and then take a short walk at the high line.
- If they have the orange brioche in... A must try treat to get your day going!
- Fantastic espresso, surprisingly friendly and welcoming environment for such a high-end place. Grab a canelé if you can!
- Kirk McMurraySeptember 15, 2012Try the Iced Coffee - Say hello to Claire, a @Foodspotting fan, and have an iced coffee in the garden...
- Iced cappucino in a glass is a good call if its steamy outside
- Florent JolyJanuary 15, 2018Ridiculously overpriced. Coffee is $4.75 and the simplest to go sandwich $11.
- Don't miss the garden. It's through the cafe and out back.
- There is an adorable social cat in the back garden. I don't know if she is staying but I hope she is
- Eric WasnickOctober 13, 2012The staff wears fedoras! Kinda cool, plus they have the best coffee in wv!
- Not aging well. They added a TV, got rid of the gelato counter and converted to US size portions/cups.
- Alastair TseNovember 10, 2012When you order a cortardo, make sure they don't think you said frittata. There's no latte art on those.
- Jessica StempelMarch 18, 2011Super nice. Came from working out and only had Amex which they don't take. Let me have my coffee and told me to come back another day and pay
- Talia KrainesDecember 17, 2011If you're having a bad day... Pop in! There are some entertaining hats to cheer you up.
- 8 yrs in ny & think this is my favorite coffee. Factor in the garden & I know it is
