Dinner for four? Get two orders of bacon, a porterhouse for two, mutton chop, burger with cheddar, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. Scientific proportions made to make the entire table happy.

Historic place - ask about the pipes on the wall. Has become a bit pricey but great place for a business lunch. Our servers were attentive and sensitive to needs if our table.

The burger (only available in the pub room on weekdays) is very juicy and flavorful. Pairs well with a side of the thick-cut smoked bacon.

The pipe collection here is a really neat touch to the old leather feel of the restaurant. It def. has a boys club vibe. The service is great & the food is even better, the berry bibble was my fav.

Still the best steakhouse in NY. Period. Lugar's? No. Old Homestead? Nah. Delfriscos? Uh uh. This, is the place. Cant beat the meat or the decor.

Fantastic! One of the best steaks of my life. I had the New York Sirloin. perfection. The "12 ingredients chopped salad" is also memorable. Cant wait to come back.

Really old traditional NY steakhouse. You wouldn’t change a bit yet everything seems a bit aged like their meat.prices are high but right for the quality and history of the place

When in doubt or just wanting a 'snack' I highly recommend the Steak Salad. Flavorful, Med - well skirt steak & the salad was butter lettuce that I could have eaten more of. Delish!!

Steaks and lamb chops....my mouth is watering now...Plus History of this establishment, will want you to explore the walls and ceilings. It was a smoke house in the 1790's.

Get the Mutton, Prime Rib, or Porterhouse with the wedge salad and creamed spinach. I recommend getting it all and sharing!

The porterhouse was sublime, as was my iceberg wedge. We ate at the bar and had excellent service. Pricey, but damn, that’s good steak.

Esquire: Definitely the porterhouse or the mutton chop, always the creamed spinach and the hashbrowns for sides, and yes, you’ll be having a martini

The steak experience! Great selection of meat and fresh oysters, good cocktails and wine. And a lot of old pipes.

Ambiance of old world, gentleman's parlor. Love the pipe collection displayed on the ceiling. Lively place, very testosterone charged but equally welcoming for a solo female diner. Wonderful service

My favorite steakhouse in Manhattan. The mutton chop is a classic, as is the bacon. one of the best collections of scotch in the city as well.

The mutton chop is a must at Keens. It's the only restaurant in the city to serve its kind. There are absolutely no questions to be asked for the restaurant service and quality.

When I go with people who never been to this amazing place, I don't mind ordering mutton chop so people can taste even tho they are not a fan. Order old fashioned or manhattan instead of red wine.

The granddaddy of all NYC steakhouses, this 1885 Midtown temple to meat remains solid although I had better. Negatives: crowded, and the service was average (the waiter doubled his tip on the bill.)

Great spot. Opened in 1878. Was also a smoking lounge til 1970. Over 90k clay smoking pipes on the ceiling Main hang out for actor & playwrights. Show up early and grab a drink at the bar. Perfect

Excellently done steaks. Skip the famous mutton chop if you haven't the appetite of a horse, and order creamed spinach. Don't be afraid to spend here, it's worth every cent.

Porterhouse steak I had last time was not bad, but somewhat disappointing as well. Price wise, it is not as high as other steakhouses, but for sure, this is not one of the best steaks in the city.

Nice Porterhouse. Don't hesitate taking the Riesling 2009 of Hermann J. Wiemer : very well balanced with freshness and light sweetness. Lemon and rose aromas. A fine wine, a good value for price.

Scotch is a must. Mutton is slightly game-y; the fat is incredible, mix a little with a chunk of meat and let the party in your mouth begin! Prime rib was perfect!

Try their legendary mutton chop. It's bigger than your face and will lull you into a meat coma. The churchwarden pipe collection is less meaty but equally impressive.
