Plan to eat before or after you arrive. The food options are somewhat limited...
Anna .September 5, 2012I was shocked to see how old and dirty the airport is.... Just like the subway... Both are embarrassing for NYC.
Terminal A is odd. Felt like I went to the wrong area!
If you're here, you've already pre-emptively ignored my tip, which is this: avoid this third-world cesspool at all costs.

This airport is convenient and close to the city but is by far the worst airport I've been to in ages..

Delta shuttle flights don't leave from the main Delta terminal. I arrived and they directed me to a sketchy van to take me to Terminal A. Ok!

Eat at the Victory Grill in Terminal C only if you have at least 45 minutes - decent food but slow service!
Traveling during holidays... Extra long security lines!
Angelina's panini bar is GROSS. I just wasted $5 on a bacon egg panini wit 1 slice of bacon. Smh
If you're reading this, you're probably wishing that you were flying out of JFK right now.
JeffMarch 27, 2013The worst security check in Ive ever been through. Was told to be there 2 hours ahead of time. Got there at 4am and TSA showed up at 5am.
How long until LGA is subway accessible? Completely medieval...

Longterm parking @LGA is more economical than by the Hotel.
