- Brian ParkMay 15, 2016It astounds me that there isn't a line out the door. By far the best tacos in NYC; not even a close second! Get the Beef Tongue tacos and Queso Fundido, it's as an absolute must at this establishment
- EaterJuly 18, 2017The torta ahogada here touts itself as the first in New York, stuffing a sourdough with carnitas, and beans and topped with mild and hot sauces.
- Steffi HeNovember 15, 2015Queso Fundido is a bowl with melted cheese!! I repeat a bowl filled with melted cheese!! Fun to eat and if you share it as a starter you won't need more than 1-2 Tacos after it.
- These tacos are by far the best tacos in the east coast. My biggest problem here it's how to stop ordering more tacos. Tinga de pollo and carne asada are my favoritos
- Everything I eat here is outstanding!Guacamole, hongos, carne asada, chipotle shrimp, cebollitas, shishito peppers, fish tacos. ALL GREAT! Gets really busy at night so expect to wait.
- Justin BretonJuly 27, 2014If you can handle the tight space, you're in for a tasty (and spicy! and affordable!) Mexican treat. Three musts: guava margaritas, ezquites (corn) and tinga de pollo tacos.
- Giovanni D'PalmaSeptember 24, 2016This place is great. A quiet refuge from what's happened to most of the Williamsburg food scene. The tacos were delicious. My favorite was the lengua followed by the carnitas. Get guac too!
- Howie BabyJune 14Fantastic neighborhood bar. Great margaritas, and friendly staff. Will try the tacos next time round.
- TMay 4, 2016Can't say it's the best tacos I've ever had (Places in LA and Austin come to mind), but a good option when you're feeling a casual Mexican bite. Their guava marg and tamarind margs are good!
- simhskalAugust 11, 2016This place has simply unbelievable flavors of salsa. Even the spiciest one was awesome. Tried almost all Veg entrées - they're the best! Fun music and the staff was very very nice.
- Ale TowerJuly 10, 2016Ceviche was great, guacamole very good, tacos with fish were amazing but all those we tried were also excellent. And I loved the margarita with mezcal. Can't wait to go back!
- Nicole FormicaJune 11, 2015Best tacos in Williamsburg. Order the Queso Fundido - melted cheese topped with chorizo as a starter. Top it off with a spicy michelada!
- Bonnie SmythApril 22, 2018This is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. Get the guava margarita and guacamole! Amazing service and talented bartenders/kitchen staff!! Highly recommend!
- Tony XerriJune 27, 2022Portions don't justify the prices. Everything was fine. Spicy shrimp taco was literally a tortilla, 3 shrimp, and sauce. Youll find way better Mexican spots in Bed Stuy or Astoria.
- Best Mexican in the hood. It's a small place, so expect to wait a bit for a table, but grab a Guava Margarita at the bar while you wait and dont miss the Tounge Taco! Seriously don't be scared.
- Erika GrijalvaOctober 15, 2014Start with a margarita and guacamole. The cochinita and lengua tacos are my faves. If you are up to it try the sesadilla. The frijoles charros are very delicious.
- Danielle NicoleMarch 18, 2015Start with a marg, some chips and guac, and get a bunch of different things to share. Be warned tho- la pescadito tacos have hot sauce on there that's not for the faint of heart.
- The Corcoran GroupSeptember 17, 2010Don’t be scared and try the Taco Lengua…yes, Tongue Taco! Once you’ve crossed that hurdle, try the Sesadillas (Pork brain quesadillas)! Wash it down with the freshest margarita you’ve tasted north of
- trillateezyDecember 15, 2013My god this place is delicious. I live in Chicago, and at certain times throughout the year I'm willing to buy a $200 ticket & sit on the plane for 2 hours... purely for these heaven sent tacos.
- Yvette LiuSeptember 3, 2015Great tacos! Try the chorizo and beef tongue!! Service are very attentive. Remember don't forget no cards only cash!
- Jackson IsaacsonSeptember 25, 2018The best margs and fish tacos, though $17 for a marg gets pretty expensive pretty fast, so bring a lot of cash.
- BonMay 18, 2013Small but well prepared portions. The cochinita pibil was most tender. Nice crust on the fish. Must: esquites mayo-y corn. To order, try to catch the waitress between her moments of texting.
- BollareJuly 4, 2012Favorite Mexican food spot ever. They make the best margaritas in all of Williamsburg. If it’s not for the margs, it’s for their $5 chips and guac. Delish! http://bit.ly/MJk450 -Running in Wedges
- Best Mexican in Williamsburg, for sure, maybe Brooklyn or even NYC! Try the guac, anything with housemade chorizo in it & the lengua tacos.
- Nate BeattyJuly 10, 2015Best darn tacos I've ever had. This small space gets busy fast, buy hey - any excuse to start the party at happy hour on a Wednesday, right??
- I finally found the best tacos in W'Burg. I'm a little late but holy crap. I almost wanna cry writing this tip right now. And most importantly, all of my Cali friends approve of this place.
- Tara DeVincenzoSeptember 23, 2015must get cochinita pabil - juicy heaping taco of spicy shredded pork marinated in banana leaf. eat it before your tortilla gets soggy
- Kamaria MionAugust 26, 2019Portions are tiny and overpriced..service was not good they forgot items and then argued when we told them so. Also what they call a ‘quesadilla’ on the menu is clearly an empanada
- Jen KatanMarch 29, 2016"Mexico city style street food with casual format. Quesadillas and Gorditas here are unlike anything else in NYC. Great for solo eating"
- Wow really super tasty and authentic! They have several menus haven't had the dinner one yet but brunch and lunch were dope!! Remember to bring cash :)
- ilaySeptember 1, 2012Delicious tacos and enchiladas. Paloma is a good drink to start the night with its high level of tequila. Highly recommended for those who want to eat something different.
- Veronique VSeptember 22, 2017I hate to say it, but I don't quite get the hype. Don't get me wrong, it was delicious... but I don't think it's one of the absolute best. Great service and margaritas, though!
- ReALTOAugust 20, 2012"La Superior lives up to the hype!"..."The tortillas were soft and luscious, and each taco was topped with their chopped cilantro and onion garnish, like God intended" http://gorealto.com/blog/?p=119
- One of my nyc faves. Try the rajas quesadilla, garlic shrimp taco, mix the esquites into your frijoles de olla and drink a prickly pear agua fresca. Insane.
- Everything on the menu is golden, but don't sleep on the Sopa de Verdura.
- Archimedes StukJanuary 26, 2017Add the spicy avocado sauce to the black bean soup. It's gonna blow your mind.
- Garlic shrimp tacos, mole chicken, fish tacos, really any tacos!
- Raquelle JessieApril 18, 2016get the chipotle shrimp taco, chips & guac, (homemade!) chorizo taco, chicken tinga taco crazy smoky & blessed.
- The Queso Fundido (melted chihuahua cheese with chorizo, served with corn tortillas) is regoddamndiculous
- Frank DieboldSeptember 10, 2014Get the chips and salsa flight to start. Then Carne asada tacos and a Tecate. Indoor/outdoor ledge is best seat in the house
- Samantha McGrandySeptember 2, 2017Casual. Authentic. Delicious. You can't go wrong with anything you order... and the Mexican consulate signed off.
- John DuncanAugust 29, 2015Great for lunch. Could see it getting crowded/ uncomfortable at dinner. But very good tacos. Like the beef tongue.
- Strongest margaritas and best tacos. The shrimp and garlic is a must as well as the alambres
- Alex PyatetskyFebruary 27, 2017Creative and authentic flavors. Portions maybe a bit small, but all in all, never lets me down.
- Jean-Philip GroblerAugust 4, 2016The best tacos and Margaritas in New York, period. Especially the Carnitas.
