- Conner WilbergerJune 12, 2012Amazing chips, queso, guacamole. The huevos rancheros are wonderful! You might have to make a reservation for 10 even if there is only 8 in your party & just find 2 others off the street to be seated
- Order from the daily specials to find great entrees like the Cordero Andaluz made with a tender lamb shank in a Spanish-style brown sauce with pimientos.
- 😜David📩 Fonseca😍📱August 11, 2017Amazing food as usual and great attention muchas gracias !! Totally recommend the carne asada served on top of a sizzle plate guac pico OTS and rice and beans mmmm 4dessert the best 3 leches ever!
- Ju LeApril 19, 2019Delicious food for a good price! It looks like a high price restaurant but the prices are pretty good! Recommend it for any kind of celebration or just lunch time if you’re around. 👍🏼
- Brian BurlesonFebruary 6, 2015The swirl margaritas are awesome! Love fish tacos/shrimp tacos, shrimp chimichanga is a favorite + crab & shrimp enchiladas are crazy good! Large portions, trendy atmosphere and good service🌈
- Brian JonesSeptember 28, 2014I still miss the day that Louriol Plaza was tucked inside a townhouse down on the corner of the block. But it's still great food, great atmosphere, and great time.
- Love the chimichangas, tamales, and the Cadillac margaritas. Atmosphere is festive and customers are very friendly. Enjoy!
- Seafood enchiladas are my favorite and the frozen margaritas are really tasty (and popular). This place is great for groups, and the staff is very accommodating.
- Best Mexican we know of in the DuPont Circle, perhaps entire NW area of the city. Defiantly worth the walk from the metro along Embassy Row. Just one block from the Washington Hilton.
- Brandon IshmaelOctober 28, 2012It was amazing I got the Mar y Tierra, 3 giant bacon wrapped shrimp, 2 bacon wrapped filet mignons with vegetables, soooooooo good lol
- Rod FortnerApril 25, 2015Best salsa and chips and great swirl margarita. Had the shrimp and crab enchiladas..... Not as good as you would think, but everything else was worth the trip.
- Dmitry RodionovMarch 11, 2013Worth trying! Seems crowded, but they manage the queue well enough. I tried a salad and a margarita cocktail, they were both delicious!
- trippNfallNJune 1, 2013Lamb fajitas w/ a smear of mint jelly and all the fixin's is great! Always drink a margarita on the rocks with salt.
- Lamb Fajitas is the best option on the Specials menu, if they're out of that definitely go for the Mar y Tierra, bacon-wrapped filet mignon and shrimp!
- Pitcher of swirl .. .feeling a bit dangerous? Add sangria on top!Food wise, Im in love with the Bistec Cubano but the Lomo Saltado and the Mar y Tierra are AMAZING as well!
- Pamela AquinoMay 9, 2013Amazing food and place. First of many times attending LP. The sweet plaintains and quesdadilla were awesome. Great fast service!
- Rachel RubensteinJune 23, 2015Excellent frozen margaritas and great Mexican food. Some of the best cheese dip I've ever had!
- Maggie MacGNovember 22, 2015This is a great place to have a margarita on a rooftop deck in DC and the people watching is amazing.
- Lauriol has insanely fast service, meh food, but the real reason anyone goes is for the Swirl margs -- just sit and enjoy yourself before ordering b/c your food will be out in a jiff.
- Saletta ColemanJuly 6, 2010Liz S is trippin! Have the best margarita on the eastern seaboard! Chips and salsa are out of this world! My dish of choice is Pollo Asda and I just can't get enough of the side walk or rooftop!
- EdreaMay 31, 2012Usually a long wait but no worries. Get a sangrarita at the bar! Yep! You heard right... Swirl of margarita and sangria! You will not be disapppointed!
- Get the shrimp quesadillas. They are to die for. Of course a pitcher of margarita is always needed when dining here.

- Tierra MMay 1, 2011They ALWAYS overestimate the wait. I was told 90 mins on a beautiful Saturday night and it was exactly 30 mins. Best margs and fajitas in town. Worth the wait!
- Alan AndrewsMarch 17, 2013Great place for brunch. Frozen margaritas are savagely good. Sit upstairs in a booth if you have kids. Great staff too.
- Lorayne ConstantDecember 26, 2017I loved that restaurant. Fajitas and crab and shrimp quesadilla are the must.

- Kate ExpectationsNovember 23, 2015Awesome lively atmosphere. Just came for happy hour margaritas, left very happy!
- Try Gold Cadillac Margarita. They can make it skinny with less sugar.
- Grace SorianoSeptember 17, 2011Great margaritas, as everyone else noted. Loved the frozen peach! Also try the seafood soup, I really liked it!
- Ask to sit up on the rooftop patio, especially when it's cold/raining. It's heated and covered and so nicely lit!

- Stacie VotawJune 29, 2012Try the Chips and Salsa - Stands the test of a hard core lover of TexMex. So far so good. Yum!
- Betsy LaaksoNovember 30, 2014Great food, if you go from 3pm-5pm it's slower and quieter, but gets loud later.
- Instead of ordering the regular swirl margarita, order the "Sangrita", a mixture of swirl and sangria. Thank me later!
- Laura G AdamsSeptember 25, 2011Closest to traditional Mexican Food you are going to get in the DC area. Or you can go to Lauriol's sister restaurant, Cactus Cantina.
- Dani_enlaCiudadOctober 15, 2014Margaritas--on the rocks--rock! The food is a little on the bland side, but then I'm from Texas, where we have real Mexican food.
- Go to Lauriol Plaza and have some combo of swirl margaritas, mojito's, and sangria. Combo fajitas are cheap and delicious, and EVERYTHING on the daily specials menu is GREAT!
- Highly recommend the Saltado de Pollo -- chicken, nicely grilled veggies AND plaintains to boot!
- Karen L.April 5, 2012The food is pretty good. An up beat place where drinking is more the draw. But the food isn't bad and the venue is airy and fun. Meets expectations for fun and fare
