- Charles GedeonOctober 22, 2015Had the lamb burger and it's easily one of the most juicy, flavourful meat patties I've ever had. The homemade mayo and Dijon definitely helped make this beast! Oh and delicious, crispy fries!
- EaterOctober 7, 2013Possibly the most complete restaurant in the city. The cushy Mile End locale and the chef's earthy, thoughtful gastropub food make it one of the most difficult tables in town. [Eater 38 Member]
- Mike StrockoApril 12, 2014Our waiter recommended the kedgeree at brunch. It did not disappoint. Also amazing at brunch: the scrapple and the custard doughnuts.
- Kittie ChanAugust 23, 2015We had the lamb steak and catfish. The sauce with catfish was amazing and the hints of lemon confit so tasty paired with the lamb. Low key vibes, would definitely recommend for dinner.
- Ashley WhalenSeptember 20, 2014I had liver for the first time here, and I loved it. A simple cheese sandwich was one of the most divine sandwiches I've ever had. Their bread is phenomenal and their bacon was outstanding.
- Pedro VaccaraMay 17, 2017A wonderful place to have brunch with friends. Good coffee, delicious English breakfast, nice decoration and warm staff. Totally recommended
- John KhuuNovember 12, 2015Came here late and the staff recommended me two seafood brunch options. They're small but my goodness, it was deliciously & deceptively filling. Come here early to get a good spot, it gets packed!
- Great place if you are a daring eater. Menu is unclear about what you get exactly but it's part of the fun. Good food, unusual dishes. If you are more conservative go for the burger, it's a safe bet.
- Cooper SmithSeptember 2, 2014Go savory for your main course, but then tack on an order of donuts for a sweet finish. Ask for the sampler of 1 custard, 1 strawberry, and 1 chocolate
- Michelle Teefey-LeeOctober 31, 2016Delicious brunch - simple and hearty plates, be prepared to queue. Wish they would change the menu up every once and a while. Lunch - good burger and fries, but over priced for lunch.
- Brian LeeNovember 17, 2013The chaucuterie plate was great and a hit with my 19 year old daughter who was reluctant to try some of the cuts. A very adventurous menu so finicky people beware. I loved it all!
- Bn GNovember 26, 2011MUST: Eggs with Smoked Salmon. Also be sure to cop yourself and order some beignets as starters to be sure to fully enjoy the dripped coffee while you wait for the dish. Go before 11 on weekends.
- Chris MessinaSeptember 17, 2016The beignets are excellent. Super crispy sugary shell, filled with chocolate, lemon, and custard fillings.
- Emily M.August 21, 2014Terrific charcuterie plate and wine list. If sablefish is on the menu, don't skip it; it is absolutely phenomenal. Lamb was a bit "wintery" in flavor. Not a good summer menu option!
- Brian Van NieuwenhovenApril 17, 2016Everything is good here. To say that it was "excellent" is not enough. Food that will linger in our dreams
- Tyler SimmonsMay 28, 2016Get a bunch of the small plates to share. 2 per person is plenty and you'll get to try more of the menu.
- Amanda ViolatoJune 18, 2016Cooked egg with tomato was amazing and the salmon with egg was delicious too. Nice spritz, they do it the traditional way ! ;)
- ZillaDecember 13, 2015Fish plate, octopus, gigantic pork chop were all excellent, really interesting wines. Staff was fantastic and really took care of us
- Julianne SimsonOctober 19, 2018The burger & fries are absolutely perfect in every way. A must! Also the Fizz is an incredible cocktail - order it!!
- Léa TuizatMay 7, 2014The english breakfast is great, the cranberry French toast is bigger than you'd expect and quite tasty, and the mimosas (apple or orange) never disappoint.
- Rental Homes CanadaDecember 17, 2013Ideally located on the Plateau Mont-Royal. Tthe resto-runners behind Lawrence love donuts so much, weekend brunchers are given lemon, custard, and chocolate 'nut puffs to whet their palates.
- Cooper SmithSeptember 6, 2014Best brunch we had in Montreal. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was incredible.
- Chris MessinaSeptember 17, 2016The Bloody Mary is a solid brunch selection. It's not huge, but it packs a decent punch.
- Kim AnehallAugust 13, 2015The corn soup offers a complexity of flavors that lingers and allows for nuances of culinary discovery.
- JessicaJune 19, 2015I like it, but I think it is a bit overpriced for lunch. Maybe I expected too much? Nevertheless their food is quite delicious so I would def. go back when I have a chance.
- Lauren SimmonsAugust 5, 2013Brunch is amazing. Get here early and order a cold brew then an aperol spritz, and whatever English-influenced eggy goodness you desired.
- Ajay ChainaniSeptember 4, 2015The lobster fries are amazing. Ps. The lunch menu is different from the brunch menu.
- What's Really Good TravellerJanuary 30, 2013If you’re visiting the restaurant in the evening, let me make one suggestion: don’t miss out on the pork chops. Oftentimes they are viewed as too plain to order, but at Lawrence, they’re not. Read more
- Remy VanherweghemFebruary 6, 2015Their homemade bread is delicious; enjoy an absolutely perfect bacon and cheese sandwich for lunch.
- Bridget CWMay 24, 2014Nouveau British on Saint-Laurent. Rabbit. Parsnips. Earl Grey. Bread-and-butter pudding. Stilton. Cragganmore. Heaven.
- Citeeze.comApril 6, 2011The menu has an English accent with nods to France & Italy.Try the braised rabbit, butter beans, zucchini & aïoli or the mackerel with rapini & salsify. Read more
- Michael BalchAugust 9, 2014Jambon tomme oeuf was very tasty for brunch. Great light vinaigrette on the cress salad.

- Christine WilsonSeptember 28, 2014Nice place, very pretty a bit expensive but great trendy place for brunch on the weekends.
- Sebastien Di MeglioApril 25, 2015Love the burgers. Really simple and tasty. It's all about the meat.
- TastyMontrealSeptember 9, 2012Try the Scones and jam with clotted cream - How come Lawrence makes such a perfect scone?? Wonders of Lawrence :D
- Iffat JokhioSeptember 7, 2012Try the Fries And Mayo - Probably the most basic thing on the menu, but these are the BEST fries I've ever had.
- Try the donuts and bubble and squeak. The coffee is also very good. Great place for brunch!
- TastyMontrealSeptember 9, 2012Try the smoked wild salmon & scrambled eggs on country toast - Scrambled eggs are almost a creamy sauce type :)
- TastyMontrealJanuary 20, 2013Try the Baked Alaskan - with cranberry sorbet, orange ice cream and sponge cake :D
