The best time to go is during the day, when you can snag a table and enjoy the river breeze while eating a delicious burger and cooling off with a bucket of Coronas.

Among the artifacts on site: a railroad barge, a lightboat called The Frying Pan, a fireboat named John J. Harvey, and a float bridge. Oh, and don't forget the caboose sitting on the barge. Read more

A unique bar situated on a barge and boat on the west side of Manhattan. This place offers great views of the developing West Side Yards skyscrapers, lower Manhattan and New Jersey

The bar and grill that operates the wet-docked complex is hailed for its white sangria and extraordinary seating. After all, where else can you imbibe on the deck of a formerly sunken lightship? Read more

An awesome summer spot, this old boat offers the perfect spot to sit back with some beers and watching the sun set over Manhattan. Definitely grab some food - the hanger steak is a personal favorite.

Would you like to pay $6 for a corona? Would you like to be surrounded by the best NJ, Long Island, and Westchester have to offer? Then this is the place for you! GREAT for out of town guests.

It's a fun time off the water on the west side highway. It's 3 boats chained together with decent food & drinks. The prices are are fair for the city. It's not classy, it's a dive bar on the water.

Yuppie douchebags from all over swarm this place after work - so if you can, go during the day, when you can enjoy the maritime vibe, breeze off the harbor, amazing views, and tasty food!

Mon-Wed after work you should be able to grab a table. Anytime after that it'll prob be pretty crowded. Try the Alphabet City Blonde Ale. It's delicious.

The place where all New Yorkers flock to as the weather gets warmer for its ambience, views, bar snacks and buckets of corona. The sangria by the pitcher is one of my favourites.

Nice place, great view. On the downside they really punish smokers, as in you have 3 benches (not tables) near the entrance where the only view you get is the locomotive in front of you.

Just off Hudson River Park in Manhattan is a floating maritime museum that doubles as a bar. The bar and grill that operates the wet-docked complex is Pier 66 Maritime, hailed for its white sangria.

Cool to party on an actual docked boat but can get crowded. Don't be afraid to come if it's drizzling because there are places with coverage and the rain weeds out the crowds. It's expensive.

A must visit in the summer. What better way to enjoy the warm weather than on a boat overlooking the water? A mixed crowd of 20-somethings up to 40-somethings. Lines get long so get there early

While this may not be this bar's maiden voyage you're definitely going down. Not in the kinky-cool-back-of-the-taxi way, more so because of the sublime sun vs alcohol chemistry at play.Wear a raincoat

Kick back on one of the few remaining light ships (built in 1929). I recommend the 16-foot observation plank in the summer and take in the breeze. They serve good specialty beers here. Booyashick.
