- San Diego's largest Farmers' Market spans more than 5 city blocks. Enjoy fresh food, crafts, & live music every Saturday from 8AM-2PM. Crêpes are popular but the line moves quickly!
- Amanda ReussAugust 21, 2019A must-visit during a San Diego stay. Open every Saturday from 8:00 am - 2:00 pm, this farmers market is the biggest in San Diego. You can find everything from fresh uni to loads of local produce.
- Richard WinklemanSeptember 2, 2018One of the best Farmers Markets in all of SoCal, if not the best given the location/ambiance. Allow more than adequate time, this is a great venue and refreshing exercise.
- SanDiegoStreetStyleSeptember 2, 2014Love to do this every Saturday AM in Little Italy (now on Cedar St). Bring your reusable shoppers and cash. They say "no dogs," but they're everywhere (and adorable).
- Jess TaiApril 5, 2014Awesome farmer's market but really smells like urine (probably from all the dogs?) everywhere! They should really do something about it.
- Peter SyravongNovember 22, 2011One of THE best in San Diego! Look for the Crepes on the corner the Mercato, super delicious. Line may be long, but it moves quite fast.
- Aikane 01November 12, 2013The side streets add to the ambiance and cultural feel here. Beautiful church and reminds me if my childhood.

- Aikane 01November 12, 2013If you can get past the crowding as you move street to street, it's got wonderful produce, flowers, and vender choices.
- Highly recommend the strawberry stand near Date and India. The ladies have the BEST berries there.
- Christopher GallagaJuly 24, 2017The best market in San Diego spend the morning and have lunch on the street.
- Orange coffee truck, oysters, Carmel sauce and pastured eggs are some of my favorites.
- The flower stand right at the intersection of India and Date Street (near Cafe Italia) is my fav. Lots of white blooms (my personal fav!).
- Dorota LindaMarch 23, 2013Drink the green juice samples...lettuce, spinach, kale, etc. all liquified into tasty goodness.
- I always get a bar of natural soap from Sunset Soap Co. at the east end of the mercato. It's $5 and lasts a month and is super worth it.
- Go to the tamale stand at corner of Date and State. They sell tons of fresh produce and the owner of the farm ALWAYS throws a few 'extras' in for free :))
- Linda's BrittlesAugust 10, 2012Linda's Brittles Gourmet Nut Brittles will be at the Mercato again this Saturday, 8/11. Get your "brittle" on!
