    They say oldest pizza spot in NYC. Their famous for Margherita Pizza, was good but not exceptional and rather pricey when NY is crawling w other fab pizza joints. A site for tourists in Nolita cin cin

    Oldest pizzeria in the US does not equal the best pizza. Not enough sauce, barely any cheese and the breadsticks were stale. Total fail. Save your money and go somewhere else.

    It's good pizza, but the wait is ridiculous. The tables are on top of each other too (I mean it's Manhattan so that's kinda normal but still). You have to go there at least once though.

    Pizza with Meatballs advised to us by a friend, which we ordered with 2 other toppings (roasted peppers & ricotta). The meatballs were good but the taste was very bland. Overpriced, just like the wine

    The pizza here has that great coal oven taste that can't be mimicked with traditional ovens. Definitely worth trying out.

    Tip: Work up a thirst for pizza by walking across the Brooklyn Bridge before hitting Lombardi's. Also, if you feel some heartburn coming on, stop and sit at a bench.

    Would never had tasted this without a random dinner guest's ordering decision, but the calzone - filled with a healthy mix of both mozzarella and ricotta cheese - was the best I've had.

    Always a good pie. Plus, how can you not stop by America's first pizzeria? If you haven't tried it, the original (mozzarella, tomato and basil) is the way to go.

    Billed as the "best on the planet " but doesn't live up to it. Had a long wait and can't say it was worth it. It was wierd seeing a picture of the owner everywhere you looked.

    Skip the wait a call in your order to go. Then walk half a block down spring to the park and eat it there. The ambiance is more appealing.
