Brendan ArndtApril 23, 2011But the priority security pass like all the other tips say. Best 3 pounds I ever spent.
Expect to be treated like cattle in departures, everything to be understaffed, rude and dismissive treatment, a 2 hour border control wait on arrival and another 2 for baggage return. Avoid.
Use your chip passport for a quick , automated border check - and go ahead the queue.

Always busy and always horrible long queues... I have landed about half an hour ago and still stuck on the plane waiting on member of staff to open the gate so that we can leave the plane?!
It took a while but it’s slowly becoming better than Stanstead.

Consider flying through Birmingham next time. Luton tries hard toi be the most unwelcoming airport in the country
Ryanair flyers, do not forget to do passport check at the check-in desk!

Welcome to the Olympic Games of Queueing! Going to Tatry? There are like 5 seats next to gate, so you have to stand in queue from hell. If you have chance of flying from Luton, pick another airport.
Bar serves cold Peroni. Also cheeky 'bar 10' on the way to the gates
Krispy Kreme doughnut concession in Departures has no designated seating area. That's a sticky-fingered family fail.

A terrible airport that lets you pay to relieve some of the more terrible parts. Always get priority security and _always_ take note of the name of the security attendants.
Like this tip if Luton airport should ban Ryan Air for being airline pirates!
My tip? Don't bother. A disgusting airport and a depressing insight into cheapo British holidays. I'll be glad to get out of here...

This place sucks the life out of every living thing. Security is completely incompetent, dropping and flipping trays - spending more time chatting to each other than working.
No drinking fountains. High food prices. Prepare beforehand.
