- M. Wells never fails to be wonderful. Food is fantastic, drinks well made, and service always excellent. Worth the money and perfect for a shared group meal. Don't miss the happy hour special as well.
- MariNovember 29, 2015Fantastic starters and steaks. I can personally recommend the Caesar salad, bone marrow onion soup, filet, ny strip and poutine. Beware, the starters are huge and best for sharing.
- IrmaZandl ZandlSlantJanuary 12, 2015LOVE this place now that I know what to order. The T-bone steak is great to share for two. Great sides include poutine, carrots, spinach. Dessert cart is a must. Great wine list.
- Asif KhanFebruary 16, 2017Porterhouse steak was ❤️ loved the environment even in freezing winter of New York it was very cozy and delicious food and great behavior and staff. Recommend
- Sean SmithMarch 31, 2019Probably the best place I have eaten in a year. Crab legs are mind blowing, steak is amazing, cheese plate knocked my socks off, and beer/wine pairing options are phenomenal.
- Time Out New YorkAugust 5, 2014Classy chophouse meets whimsy and a bit of irreverence at M. Wells Steakhouse, our 2014 Food & Drink Winner for Best New Steakhouse. Meal highlights: cote de boeuf, foi gras gnocchi, and wedge salad. Read more
- L BMarch 7, 2015The poutine creamed spinach Venison tbone and skirt steak are the best I've ever had onion and bone marrow soup is a meal in itself can't wait to get back here♥
- EaterDecember 9, 2013M. Wells serves things like BBQ mussels on a stick and foie gras-stuffed gnocchi. The fish come from a tank in the kitchen, and the desserts come from a trolley that's wheeled through the dining room.
- Cheyenne CohenOctober 20, 2018The Wagyu was so delectable - perfectly chewy and decadent. The Beaver Tail was impressive and so perfectly sweet!
- Shiri LaraJanuary 19, 2016Cool place. The onion bone marrow soups is a decadent onion bacon chili with a hunk of marrow. I suggest ordering the apps/sides to share. Entrees are disappointing in comparison and $$$ for no reason
- Asif KhanFebruary 16, 2017Steaks are ❤️ yum yum even the soups are worth trying. Loved the hospitality
- I love the chefs bar - seeing the chef grab trout from the tank and prepare it front of you is interesting. Everything tastes incredible.
- Scott MacWhinnieFebruary 22, 2014Acorn Pork Rack, outstanding. Cocktail: A Well Lubricated Nail. Staff is professional, friendly. Extensive wine list, and good tap beers. One subway stop from midtown, could use a porch light.
- Bone in burger = really good, Caesar salad = a lot of cheese (great if you like cheese!), trout = FRESH! (watch out for bones), poutine/fries = the perfect crunch, service=attentive, not highbrow
- Claire J SongMarch 25, 2015foie gras-covered pancakes and chawanmushi made with bacon and sea urchin, T-bone or bone-in rib eye steaks, or split platters of chateaubriand or côte du boeuf.
- Matt JacobsFebruary 10, 2014Took the Times’ advice and got the tomahawk chop. It was excellent and could easily serve three people. Also, the Solomon Grundy is a must have.
- The food is amazing. Get anything with bone marrow or the steak tartare.
- First We FeastAugust 3, 2014By stripping away much of the over-the-top weirdness of their previous ventures (that bone-in burger aside), M. Wells Steakhouse delivers pure, gluttonous pleasure.
- Serious EatsJanuary 14, 2014A zany, occasionally delicious restaurant, one of very few fine dining options in Queens. Steaks are the weak point; stick to the more inventive parts of the menu.
- jiresellOctober 10, 2015Delicious! I like the open concept in the dining room. Get as many apps as you can and share them!
- Lili WApril 29, 2023Oysters, white asparagus, frog legs, bavette with mushrooms 👍🏻, duck au poivre & fries 👌🏻
- IrmaZandl ZandlSlantAugust 11, 2014GORGEOUS space and difficult menu. Looking forward to coming back for wine and apps in the outdoor space.
- henry bakerMarch 4, 2016It's all delicious but Caesar salad marrow escargot and of course steaks are unbelievable. Merci.
- Alice EunjinApril 29, 2015"seafood sausage and eggs Benedict, the bone-in burger, and a Russian waffle with smoked sturgeon, paddlefish caviar, trout roe, hard boiled eggs, and a potato waffle."
- Janet CheungSeptember 6, 2014The lamb blew my mind away! One of the best in the world and dessert cart is wonderful!
- Stephanie WuOctober 4, 2015Appetizers are rich and heavy. onion & bone marrow soup and the tripe were delicious. Scallops appetizer was too rich. No mains needed after those 3 apps
- Jason WongNovember 16, 2013This place is overpriced but good. Get the cinnamon cake for dessert. The poutine is great and my Canadian friend agrees!
- Pierre van MedgeAugust 8, 2014You may not know it yet, but the pork chops tower is going to be your favorite steakhouse entree soon, dressed as it is with anchovy butter.
- Evonne CDecember 24, 2013One word. Sweetbreads. You won't regret it in fact you'll Thank me later for the best dish of your life. A complete stranger
- Christine MendoncaNovember 14, 2013Amazing, the raw bar is second to none. I love the live fish tank & the raw bar is subliminal seriously.
- Vincent YoungNovember 18, 2013Oxtail consommé, stack of pork chops, bone in burger are winners here. Finish off with a cinnamon cake.
- JDDecember 13, 2013Yes, it's a "steakhouse", but focus on sides like foie gras gnocchi, three types of "pommes" and French onion soup with a bone in it.
- Donny TsangJanuary 14, 2014Best bite of 2014, so far, the marrow inside the bone inside the onion soup. Get it!
- kathryn szumowskiNovember 22, 2013Cool vibe and atmosphere. Great drink menu. Food was excellent - highly recommend!
- Christine MendoncaNovember 16, 2013Best raw bar in NYC, wine list is off beat & brilliant. Totally worth the trek!
- Grace CheungDecember 24, 2013Beware the brisket! And forget the veggies. Burger and T-bone are much better. Poutine is amazing.
- Robert BrisitaOctober 9, 2014The Tomahawk if you have a good crowd. Scallops to start. Many other good dishes to try.
- SizzleMelJanuary 24, 2014In Fat We Trust. Go for: poutine, anything w foie gras, sweetbread, or bone marrow. Brisket is ok.
