- David HollandsAugust 16, 2014New place on Ave B serves specialty tins of select fish and seafood in seasoned oils. Comes with warm pitas and butter for dipping and sharing - fantastic. I labeled the tins for the curious.Upvoted Sep 8
- Soft opening, awaiting liquor license. Regionally sourced foods (smoked and cured fish, cheese, olives, etc) to complement the white wine / sherry menu. From former GMs of Torrisi & Parm.
- Garrison PriceMay 30, 2016If you don't know about the delicacy of fine imported canned seafood, go here and get educated. Sit outside on a warm afternoon. Great wines by the glass and craft brews. Also good house made snacks.
- Pay your respects to the Life Cafe menu hanging in the bathroom. (“Life Cafe” was in this spot from 1981 - 2011)
- Serious EatsJuly 30, 2013Go with one or two friends and order the $50 big board to split a feast of cured meats, preserved fish, cheese, and accompaniments. Canned seafood is also high quality and reasonably priced.
- One of my favorite places in the East Village! Go for the house wine w/ sardines and octopus!! And the soundtrack is a plus.
- Raphael LangenscheidtAugust 9, 2015I'm impressed. The lobster is fresh, not smothered under too much mayo, and the roll is crunchy and soft. One of the best lobster rolls I've had.
- Mike FinneganAugust 31, 2013Top-notch beer selection. Great place for when you're in the mood for small bites. Very creative dishes. Another win for the east village.
- Missy MackeyDecember 29, 2022Great bartenders, great regulars, great tinned seafood!! I had one of the mackerel ones recommended by the bartender and loved it
- Great corner local bar with outdoor seating in the summer right on Tompkins Square park. Friendly staff, good small seafood plates menu and beer selection.
- Brian KusteraFebruary 19, 2017The vibes. Shit's dope, especially in good weather. Margs are fire and beer cheese is on point.
- Sharone KatzDecember 16, 2013Great addition to Tompkins Sq. Cozy atmosphere and a great selection of unique beers as well as wine and lots of delicious small plates.
- Nef AraiaAugust 9, 2013Everything is in a bottle or can which is preferable. I don't wanna deal with some newbie bartender or spattering beer head giving me 1/3 froth on a 10 dolla beer. xoxo, Beer Grrrl
- AmateurConciergeJune 5, 2016Nice for a drink outside right across from Tompkins Square Park. Not huge on the seafood in a tin thing but if you are, THIS is your place !
- Lisa ParavanoApril 16, 2015great location, great vibe, lovely spot for drinks with wrap around windows you feel like you're outside/inside... unique drinks!
- Great date place. Great selection on wines and beers. Music is awesome. Tuesday night rocks. Refreshing small bites food menu.
- Good music. Great craft beers available. Have some cheeses, cured meats and pickled seafood. Be adventurous.
- Alex HunterJune 9, 2022I am not here to eat tinned seafood. I am here to drink. I love it so if you enjoy tinned seafood you’re *really* going to love it.
- DoubleDeuceNovember 18, 2018This place is generally quite full of energy. They also have a fun rum and fresh coconut drink that is fun.
- Cesar RazuriSeptember 14, 2013Canned seafood? Yes please! The canned scallops are great! Pair with Riesling. Done.
- Nice place for a casual beer or glass of wine. I really enjoyed the fish spread as well.
- Love their drinks. Great neighborhood watering hole
- Excellent mulled wine in winter, a great way to warm up on a cold night.
- Margo MindnichAugust 20, 2014Lovely spot to chill outside on a Thursday night with a few friends. Michelada
- Great neighborhood spot for a drink, and unique in their tinned fish offerings.
- Jeanne WilliamsOctober 26, 2013Gluten-free cider when you're not in the mood for wine. The Sherry and vermouth were a bit too sweet for my taste.
- Wine here is damn good, and these lovely bearded gentleman know what they're talking about.
- Liam K.October 24, 2017Nice for a glass of dry white in the afternoon, but avoid during peak times-crowded and too small.
