- 2Plus2NYCReviewJune 21, 2011I love Matilda. It’s one of the most creative restaurants I’ve been… Guacamole with basil! Mojitos made with Prosecco! Plus, they have a super-fun ambiance! I never want to leave! Read more
- The wines have clearly been chosen to match the menu, not necessarily current distributor trends, which is nice. It was a slow meal but it tasted great and I felt like the owner was happy to have us.
- Gilt CitySeptember 19, 2011The restaurant is owned by a husband-wife team, respectively of Mexican and Italian descent. So, the kitchen’s wood burning oven produces both to-die-for focaccia and killer quesadillas.
- Try the Taco De Mariscos - So good, of course. Thank you @MatildaEats. Soft tortillas with shrimp and monkfish in tomato-chipotle sauce.
- Try the Enchilada Dolce - Brick oven roasted tortillas filled with fruit and mascarpone cheese, topped with organic maple syrup and fresh berries
- Melissa GJanuary 16, 2014The spaghetti with prosciutto and calamari was basically hard pasta with lots of tomato. Calamari and prosciutto were MIA. There was zero love put into this dish.

- Try the Carbonara Al Chorizo - spaghetti with eggs and spicy chorizo #brunch
- Kristi BerryOctober 15, 2011Skeptical of the idea but the burratta, raviolli, short rib, and chocolate cake proved incredible!
- Melissa GJanuary 16, 2014I came to Matilda for dinner one night and honestly was the most disappointing and unsatisfying meal I've had in a very long time. I ordered the Tagliata (roasted sirloin) and it was cold and rubbery
- Try the Taco al Chorizo - For my money, Matilda has the best brunch in the city.
- Kristin S.April 28, 2012Try the pork and peaches tacos, and wash it down with one (or two) watermelon margaritas!
