If you just want to have drinks, go downstairs to the basement. Bring about 10 friends and wild out. Enjoy the drinks and each other...actually put your phone down and enjoy...let's be human again.

One of my favorite places in Columbia Heights. Great brunch and dinner menu and the basement bar has an extensive rotating draft list! With the addition of old school arcade games, it's hard to beat!

if you’re into European brews, you’re out of luck. At any time, they have about 25 beers on tap and 150 bottles of beer to choose from. Definitely, give the house brew, Meridian Pint Kolsch, a try. Read more

Take it from someone who grew up in the heart of eastern NC BBQ country, the eastern NC pulled pork sandwich here is a waste of money and calories; burgers are your best bet.

Meridian Pint is a beer bar with a twist: All the drafts and bottles are from America. Even its booths outfitted with taps (so you can pour your own beer). Now that’s energy-saving.

A 20 min. walk from Columbia Heights metro station. 25 beers on tap, can be ordered in 4oz tasters. And a lot more bottled beers, just in case.

Open faced veggie sandwich. Amazing. I got it with goat cheese instead of cheese it came with - highly recommend. Fast service / great atmosphere

This beer bar has a great, open layout. Upstairs is perfect for summer time, while downstairs serves the late night party. If you know how to pour, get a table with a tap. Frat haters beware.

My FAVORITE burger in the city. Skip 5 guys, bgr, shake shack and all the rest. Get the redneck. But be warned, this place is POPULAR and get packed fast (no seats at 8 on Tuesday)

Resist the urge to order the onion rings. They look great on the table next to you, but you're better off thinking of them as landscape - nice to look at but you really don't want to eat them. Try you
