If you are flying international with AA and have dual nationality, go straight to the counter for check-in. Their kiosks still can't handle such information and you will only waste time trying.

If you need to get an Uber from here, cheapest pickup location is at the tri rail. Follow the signs there and beat the system 👍

You are in Miami! Yay. Remember to leave extra time on your return to the airport. The main way out of the keys was closed (fire maybe) so we has to take the long and slow way.

Terminal D is fantastic. Lots of unique and tasty food options. Which is good because the AA Admirals Club leaves a little to be desired.

All food is Cuban food or high calorie. Come prepared with healthy snacks if on a diet...or, you know, balanced eating lifestyle.

Huge hub for flights from US to the rest of the Americas. Managed to (pardon the pun) fly through with TSA pre-check. Well appointed with 2 Cuban food options in La Carreta and Cafe Versailles

The Miami airport has been inefficient for a very long time - unless you are lucky with the lines, at this airport, it is very important to allow enough advance time to get passed security.

Bring a coat and a pillow. This airport is super cold and there is a severe lack of chairs and walking space. This is my least favorite airport. The experience should be so much better than it is.

If you have a visa waiver - go to the machines at the right hand side. You just need your passport and the machine recognised you. The queue there is much shorter!!

If you're flying American, get there early. This is a hub for the airline and lots of inexperienced vacation travelers make the security lines very slow moving.

Sign up for TSA pre screening on your airline website. There is never a line, I don't have to take off shoes or remove the laptop. It saves me easily 20 minutes waiting in line for regular screening.

Curb side check in: with American Airlines they won't give you boarding pass if you tell them that you still have to bring back rental. Lie, or have the car returned prior. :-)

Use a different airport if you can. The cellphone lot is hard to find, but handy. You can also park short term for cheap. SunPass works for parking.

Count on delays, hold ups and your having to move from furthest gate to another. If you have to transit (to go central and Latin American, many of you probably do) make sure to factor that time in
