- Dana DJanuary 6, 2015Solid BBQ with amazing brisket (get a mix of wet and dry) and fall-off-the-bone ribs. Solid set of brews on tap to wash it all down with.
- NealMay 8, 2015Got the combo platter. I'd rate 1. Fatty brisket 2. Smoked sausage 3/4 pork or chicken depending on my mood. Try the bacon wrapped jalapeños.
- Get the Well-Fed platter with collard greens and share with a friend! I can't even get anything else when I come here. Bacon wrapped jalepenos are awesome when the jalepenos are spicy.
- The fatty brisket here is outstanding. I've eaten some world class brisket out in Texas, and Midwood Smokehouse brisket is in the ballpark. Great mac and cheese and whiskey-based cocktails here too.
- Absolutely the best bbq brisket or my favorite burnt ends in town. Pretty much everything is phenomenalUpvoted 1 day ago
- Donald HallAugust 18, 2019EVERYTHING!! I always go for the combo platter...brisket, ribs, pulled chicken, and jalapeño sausage...oh and burnt ends...with side of baked beans and hushpuppies...Pig Out!! 😋
- Kari HessJuly 9, 2018More than one location in the Charlotte area (Birkdale Village, Ballantyne & Park Road)-you can't go wrong with their menu choices; I usually stick to the Classic Carolina BBQ Plate with Coleslaw
- Ericu DesuOctober 19, 2018Everything is good here. I always get the brisket, but their ribs and pork barbecue is also delicious.
- Danielle C.December 25, 2019The salmon was awesome! I know, I know, it’s a BBQ joint known for brisket, but if that’s not your jam the salmon is definitely a contender.
- Matt GentryJune 6, 2015Cuban sandwich and hush puppies were awesome. Couldn't finish it. Fried pickles were great too.
- Rebecca GalanteJuly 21, 2019The sampler platter was amazing. Great brisket and ribs! Hush puppies and bacon wrapped jalapeños. Would definitely go back. A lot.
- Every time I've been here their dinner special has been amazing. And Hub loves the brisket - best we've had since moving out of TX.
- Fried pickles, pork bbq, hushpuppies and bacon wrapped jalapeños are standouts, but the NC Barbecue sauce pales in comparison to its SC counterpart.
- Brisket Mac n Cheese n Smoked veggies. Normally get the large plate.
- Otto JefimenkoMay 4, 2018Bbq, burnt ends and bacon wrapped jalapeños are to die for. Nice Bier selection also.
- Rachel AlexanderOctober 30, 2015Pulled pork is so yummy you don't need any sauce. Cheesy Mac and cheese and thick, meaty baked beans!
- NocatchoSeptember 14, 2012Just follow the rants and give the bacon wrapped jalapeños a try, if you like a little kick. Brisket is pretty good. Praline apple cobbler is SINFUL!
- KRISTI TAugust 25, 2012Ask for CJ as your waiter, he's fantastic! :) great food, will definitely be back. The burnt ends and Mac and cheese were amazing!
- Abby MillerDecember 30, 2012Get smoked sausage with mac n cheese. Comes with hush puppies which are to DIE for. The brisket rocks too.
- Bridget YoakJanuary 1, 2016Don't come too late some of the best things sell out after like 8 or 9 pm. Best BBQ in Charlotte!!
- Great service and fantastic chopped salad & pimento cheese fries for the vegetarians out there :-)
- They have "chewy ice" here! Oh yeah - excellent BBQ too. Just standing outside enjoying the savory smells is enough to make your mouth water. Read more
- Matthew BollingAugust 4, 2012Skip the BBQ sauce, the pork is great by itself. Great smoke flavor - you can smell it when you walk in. Not the greatest NC-Style sauce.
- Carrie ElizabethDecember 8, 2013Avocado Goddess Dressing is on point. The chopped salad topped with pulled pork is delicious!
- Chopped salad is GREAT for the veggie crew! Smoked tomato vin. dressing is delicious.
- Great Cobb salad for the veggies out there and so much goodness fresh made!
- Neal ProsanskyDecember 23, 2011BBQ beans are ridiculous. I'm sold on the Carolina Pork and the bacon wrapped jalapeños are amazing. 1.25 PBRs. Can't beat this place!
- Sarah WilbanksOctober 26, 2011You can split a plate that's big enough for three for a total of $20 or go for the classic bbq sandwich for about $7 - either one is a great choice.
- Thomas PinckneyMay 7, 2012We come here every Monday for half off NC beer, they also happen to have the best BBQ in Charlotte.
- Tonny StoreyJune 18, 2013Excellent food and Yuengling!!! Don't ask for a pitcher of beer tho'...they don't play that in NC
- Kristin OrcuttOctober 1, 2011Sloppy joe with brisket! Great twist on an old favorite. Another great Charlotte spot, Frank!
