Twin Peaks. There's a picture of Laura Palmer in the bathroom and the bathroom floor tile is from the black lodge. Awesome. Also, the food will destroy you. In a good way.

You can't go wrong with anything you order. Come with a group and order a lot. Broccoli beef brisket and cumin lamb ribs!

Get your spicy on with kung pao pastrami and the ma po tofu. You're going to need to order many, many beers for these meals!

Trice cooked bacon is not normal!! Also suggest the chicken wins. Best ever and super spicy!! They give you free beer while you wait which is a plus! Crappy beer but hey, I'm not complaining.

Thrice cooked bacon with rice cakes, tofu skin, bitter melon and chili oil. Not for the faint of heart or small of stomach, but absolutely delicious and incredibly spicy.

The chicken might be famous but it being so spicy, has more to do with the hype. Go for the beef jerky fried rice, mapo tofu slightly overrated. Overall chill spot, you'll enjoy.

There is a bar downstairs in the back while you wait for your table. Drinks are pretty pricey but the Old Fashioned is worth it!

If you're waiting for your table (and chances are that you'll be waiting a while), stand by the dining entrance where there's free beer and free hot wings (sometimes)

While it may not be completely authentic Chinese, we guarantee you’ll love some of the funky remixes here, like Kung Pao Pastrami. Chew on that!

Mapo tofu is excellent, an intricate entanglement of flavors. Salt cod fried rice, 3 of us felt it was a complete disappointment.

Best Mapo tofu in NYC but should ask for a half amount of salt otherwise you ended up have to drink a gallon of water.

Food is spicy and so is the hostess. Be nice to Chelsea! No more free beer, go to Todd's Mill or Hair of the Dog to wait. Or both!

While waiting for a table the custom of giving out free beer to customers as they wait has stopped, due to someone complaining and fear of losing their liquor license (according to the host).

Recommended highly. Had the lamb, trice cooked bacon and cod rice. All three delicious, in that order. Lamb is a must have, period.

Winter cold? Stuffed up? Sinus issues? The cure is ordering and eating the (delicious) Beer Brined Sichuan Pickles. Cheaper than anything at the pharmacy at $4.00.

It’s gotten a lot of hype but one bite into Mission Chinese Food’s thrice-cooked bacon and you’ll be a believer. The tofu cakes sprinkled throughout the dish soak up a lot of the unctuous flavor.
