- Ashok LalwaniApril 4, 2015Yummy & very unique ice cream flavors. I think they have more flavors available everyday than Bi-rite or other popular places in Sf. The ones we tried were Ube (Purple Yam), Thai Tea & Irish Coffee.Upvoted 2 weeks ago
- These folks are super efficient so don't get discouraged if you see a long line or if your place in it is 30 numbers back. You'll never wait as long as you think you will.
- Hannah GarciaAugust 13, 2015Had the Grasshopper while my family tried other flavors like Macapuno & Mango (forgot the others haha). Really good & the workers are really nice, very relaxing place to grab a quick dessert 🍨💕
- Truth KnowledgeJune 19, 2013It's 9:40 pm! This place is busy around the clock! I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Tonight I may go for the grasshopper. My all time favorite is White Pistachio, yum!
- Maya ShanmugamJanuary 8, 2017Been coming here ever since I could eat ice cream - the seasonal flavors (cantaloupe, pumpkin, and Spumoni) are not to be missed. Or try macapuno for the best coconut ice cream ever!
- Shannen EJuly 11, 2023They have old fashioned traditional flavors like rum raisin, and more modern flavors like Thai tea. Make sure you pull a number because there’s always a line.
- Best ice cream shop in SF. Try the grasshopper pie. If you're not into chocolate, try their mango or ube.
- Eve ChouFebruary 22, 2014A SF must. There are so many different types of flavors and they are the nicest. They will let you sample flavors. Even when it's busy, you get you ice cream with a smile.
- Louise JabagatAugust 6, 2015everything!!!!!!!! My favorite is mango, chocolate, Mexican chocolate, ube, macapuno (sweet coconut). This place is amazing I never go anywhere else for ice cream but here.
- Luke BornheimerApril 19, 2013The caramel praline is delicious if you love caramel and don't mind the extra sweetness from the pralines. Also, the chocolate peanut butter flavor is insane…and I usually don't like chocolate bases.
- Brian IbarraAugust 23, 2017After years of hearing how good this ice cream is and there's no going back and so worth the wait! There's no actual line waiting but you simply pull a number and await your turn to go up when called
- Chad HornerAugust 12, 2017delicious, unique flavors at a shop that has been around since the 50s. try flavors like Lucuma and Horchata that you won't find anywhere else
- A must for ice cream in SF. Toasted almond is awesome, but I honestly haven't gotten anything I didn't love. (Don't forget to grab a number when you get there.)
- Truth KnowledgeDecember 4, 2012I've been getting ice cream from here with my family since my childhood years. Today I almost went with White Pistachio again but instead I got festive; the Egg Nog ice cream is ridiculously good!
- The ice-cream here is so good. These guys have been around for decades and their tropical flavors are particularly famous. Also great to take a pint of ice-cream home for the freezer. Beware of lon
- Ally ReillyJune 10, 2012Fight your way through the crowd, grab a number and wait. It's well worth it! Waffle cone with Claire's pie & Grasshopper pie is to die for. Hands down the best ice cream I've ever had. YUM!!
- 🄵🄴🄻🄸🅇 dnǝʇsɔɥAugust 27, 2018Don't forget to pull a number. The tropical mix ice cream with banana, pineapple, guava, mango was wonderful.
- Easily the best ice cream in San Francisco. I highly recommend flavors such as horchata as a malt. It’s heaven!
- Rebecca GobersteinMarch 18, 2012The BEST ice cream outside of Shubert's in Chico, Ca. Take a number and prepare to wait for American and Latin favorite flavors. If you take home a pre-packed tub, you can cut your wait time down!
- If there's a super long line, pick a one of the pre-made half gallons and go straight to the front of the line. Then tack on a couple sugar cones and you're set!
- Has the BEST ice cream. Mexican chocolate or Kahlua Mocha. Also the best Halo Halo.
- Bikash MishraMay 22, 2017Great selection of flavors. Take a number, wait a bit and then sample some ice cream. Try out the waffle bowl!!

- Best Oreo Cookie ice cream I've ever had! Be ready to wait, there's always a long line. Old-fashioned ice cream place.

- Vanessa SchneiderFebruary 6, 2015Classic, delicious ice cream. Don't be surprised by the long line at 10pm.
- Ros HodgekissMarch 29, 2014This is the parlor you dreamed of as a kid. Now you're an adult, you can afford to be as irresponsible to your temple-body as you like!
- Ashlie FordSeptember 29, 2015The classics are delicious. Too nervous to try some of the more unusual flavored like avocado or banana.
- Toasted almond ice cream is my favorite (no almond extract flavor, just toasty goodness.)
- Karla RodruizMay 16, 2011This ice cream is to die for and so worth a trip from L.A. to try it! Young Coconut flavor is soooo creamy, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness!!
- Paulo SantosAugust 18, 2015Who wouldn't love this spot? Yes the line is insane at times, but then grab a half gallon to go and skip the wait!
- Carlos LazoJanuary 27, 2013This place has been around for decades. Definitely a San Francisco landmark. The most delicious ice cream I've ever had.
- GQ MagazineAugust 22, 2012Most fantastic flavor: Horchata. Brilliant Mexican drink even better as ice cream.
- Carmen RuelasMarch 19, 2013I swear by the Mexican chocolate. Add the chocolate dipped almond covered waffle cone and you've got yourself a little piece of heaven.
- The grasshopper pie and horchata are the ice cream of the crop.
- I do like Mitchell's and though its one of the 'go to' places in SF but personally I'm not like omg about it but if someone's like let's go then ok I'll go but I wouldn't propose it🍦
- Love their grasshopper ice cream! Mint chocolate chip + Oreos. No matter when you come it's always busy but it is well worth the wait. Make sure to hurry in and grab a number.
- Aid MendozaApril 23, 2013Definitely avocado, caramel praline, banana, butterscotch and french vanilla. Yum! Totally craving now in this hot weather
- ClandestineDrinkerAugust 25, 2019This is the BEST ice cream spot in San Francisco if not Northern California.
- Walk in, grab a number! Don't forget :) Only tourists and amateurs forget. Then you coast and wait to get your delicious ice cream.
- Eduardo RamirezDecember 18, 2016Many many flavors, but definitely would recommend getting lucuma or one of their exotic flavors
- eva marie moodyJanuary 28, 2015I love there banana splits there fantastic especially if your just looking for something simple. 😸
