- Ashley RoseMay 18, 2018Treat yourself to an evening of old school NYC. Start with cocktails, then oysters and steak tartare... and see where the night takes you!
- Paula BuzzoJuly 18, 2023This place is fabulous. Amazing food and awesome attendance. Try their tenderloin steak tartare. As entrées, vodka rigatoni and layered white lasagna.
- The Corcoran GroupMay 4, 2012A very “Mad Men”-esque watering hole – especially when you get a perfectly made Manhattan, an interesting Monkey Gland or a sweet Southside Fizz.
- Tim SheySeptember 7, 2011A fun, faithful facsimile of gilded age Gotham, from the menu to the murals. Order the most old-school stuff on the menu and enjoy.

- Generally good food and drinks. The restaurant area is much nicer than the bar. Don't be fooled by the bar area and dismiss the food!
- Esquire UKJanuary 10, 2013It’s the kind of place someone with a serious reverence for nostalgic style would imagine: in fact, it was reopened in 2009 by Vanity Fair Editor Graydon Carter and his wife Anna.

- Adrienne SMarch 22, 2012Overpriced but good if you're on a corp Amex. The cote du boeuf was excellent. And the cocktails are solid. Feels kind of like you walked into a Mad Men episode. (2 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
- Valerie BrownApril 3, 2012The old fashioned cocktail here is phenomenal, I cannot stop thinking about it. The burger is doused in mayo and did not rock my world
- GourmetLiveNovember 4, 2010The tiered restaurant seems so much like the sophisticated New York of the wicked ’30s that you’ll look around to see if Nick and Nora Charles are at the next table, feeding one another witty lines.
- Hannah DNovember 2, 2011It may seem pretentious but go in with an open mind and read some Hemingway first. The food is good but some minor details are missing. Atmosphere is why you go.

- Jamie DumbillJuly 29, 2017Went for restaurant week summer 2017. We were underwhelmed by the food, the highlight was the tiramisu desert. Service was lackluster we seemed an inconvenience to our waiter. Wouldn't rush back
