- The U-505 is a Type IXC U-boat built by Deutsche Werft AG, Hamburg in 1941. Captured on 4 June 44 by USN Task Force 22.3. Donated to the Museum in 1954 and moved to it's present location in 2004.

- Nick HansenJuly 5, 2017The weather science area was neat, as was the U505, but way too many exhibits were broke/down for maintenance. We paid $162 just to get in and felt like it was a waste! Very disappointed!!!
