- One of my 10 favorite restaurants in NYC, now and forever. Same order every time: crispy spring rolls, pork chops, salt/pepper shrimp, whole fish. In season, add soft shell crab. Kaboom.
- EpicuriousAugust 24, 2010The decor may be kitschy and the service often perfunctory, but the soft-shell crabs, pho with beef and scallions, and barbecued pork chops are magnificent - a Vietnamese standout in Chinatown.
- Untapped CitiesJuly 27, 2012Here for pho? You'll want to order the Pho Dac Biet (L1), a bowl of tender beef brisket and juicy eyeround paired with chewy tendon. Be sure to applaud the cow who gave so much of himself to the dish. Read more
- One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Best service and best food. Love these guys. I recommend the 'BBQ beef over vermicelli noodles' and 'salt & pepper squid'. Get a '33' beer as well. Enjoy!!!
- This is a Chinatown institution. I've been coming here for over 15 years. Their Pho is one of the best. Try the Pho Dac Biet with beef balls. Their fried frog legs are great too.
- jake furstApril 10, 2014if you fix up the spring rolls right, they're among the best I've ever had. add hoisin and the chili/garlic sauce, wrap in lettuce with a mint leaf and douse in fish sauce. bananatown.
- DJ James Vincent NYCOctober 15, 2013Been coming here since 1990 and i still order the same meal -- summer rolls w shrimp, BBQ pork chop, crispy squid & their special iced coffee-- awesome every time!
- LucieferNovember 9, 2014Had their pho dac biet and cha gio. Friend ordered the pho ga. It was all very decent, didn't have an msg reaction. They did the cha gio right with rice paper wrappers instead of egg roll wrappers.
- The Corcoran GroupApril 21, 2011Before going to Winnie’s to imbibe in booze and karaoke, grab a tasty, cheap and fresh meal here – try a bowl of pho, bo luc lac salad and soft shell crab. Finish with a café su da.
- Lee SimpsonJanuary 25, 2017Very very good pho. It's never too busy here and it's perfect for a cold winters day.
- Ranu RajkarnikarApril 9, 2015Quick and delicious Vietnamese food! Get the pho, summer rolls or rice with beef cubes. So inexpensive too!
- geekhanJune 11, 2013Yes the fried rice with beef cubes is awesome. Ask for extra sauce of the beef. It's A bit oily but GOOD
- Kathryn C.October 3, 2014Make sure to order the fried spring rolls. They come with fresh lettuce for you to wrap it in and a delicious sweet and sour sauce to dip!
- Jenny ParkDecember 10, 2010Been coming here for years. Have the soft shell crabs, sweet & sour fish soup. One of the few places that spring rolls are NOT pork (shrimp & chicken.) sure beef cubes and the regular stuff is good
- Ten ingredient fried rice, pork chops, beef cubes with salad are all must haves. Also, the phone is soooo good!
- Alex BentonJuly 17, 2013In a city with some hit-or-miss Pho, you won't be disappointed with the great broth here. The Pho Tai for $5.50 is a good bet.
- Shane HSeptember 14, 2010Shrimp spring rolls, BBQ beef and Shrimp with black mushrooms was our choice. The food didn't disappoint. It was busy for lunch and we had a short wait for a table. Overall a good experience
- By far the best Vietnamese in the city. The Pho is wonderful. The broths are flavorful and complicated. You can go for meat, or totally vegitarian if you want, so it's perfect for varied groups!
- MimiAugust 9, 2014Decent Vietnamese food in the city. The sweet and sour soup is the best thing they have. Not the friendliest staff :( but the good comes out quick and us inexpensive!
- Chefs FeedAugust 22, 2014Mario Carbone, chef of Torrisi Italian Specialties, eats here on his nights off. He loves the Crispy squid. Read more
- PeonyApril 23, 2012Try the durian milkshake, it's durian heaven for durian lovers! if you want something lighter, salty plum soda is swt , sour and salty goodness in one.

- Mazen LetayfMarch 24, 2010Eat frog legs at this restaurant, they are the second best in NYC (and the absolute best value). The best are at La Grenouille (translation from French: the frog!, how apt)
- John KudosJune 1, 2010Best Vietnamese in town. The portion is about right, others always serve more than needed.
