- Malcolm RingJuly 1, 2015Delicious coffee, light brown woody interior, outdoor seating. Huge windows looking into a park. Free wi-fi, though it's pretty weak. No outlets.
- Global HighlanderJanuary 2, 2018Espresso drinks only as far as ☕️ is concerned at this cozy coffeeshop that does accept credit cards and has WiFi.
- Fabian MartinAugust 5, 2022Solid cappuccino open from 7 AM. Full of half asleep people exactly what you would hope for
- Serious EatsMarch 6, 2013One of the few places in the city where you can park with your laptop and work while enjoying your coffee.
- If you love drip coffee, ask for a pour-over of the Guatemalan....and drink it black! The Brazilian and Costa Rican are best as espresso with milk.
- Marco GomesOctober 23, 2018The best espresso with oat milk (cappuccino); in this preparation, oat milk is better than regular milk.
- Ms HeleneDecember 13, 2012Tucked away near scaffolding but next to Tompkins Square Park is some great coffee. Always strong, aromatic and with a nice crema. Some space for lingering, standing or seating but plain inside.
- DoubleDeuceMay 13, 2017It's always busy in here with the seating often full. Great coffee options. Definitely a local favorite if you're in the area.
- Fantastic coffee, free wifi, bigger space than the one on 10th, and overall friendly staff
- Nate BeattyJune 14, 2015Really the best little coffee shop in the neighborhood. Awesome spot, with a few cute little outdoor seats. But cash only.
- SuYeone JeonNovember 16, 2016Located in a relatively quiet neighborhood and a nice place to work/observe passerby -- of course the coffee here is undoubtedly great!
- their lattes are unlike any other. as soon as i finish one, i immediately want another. i cant think of a better sunday spot, or any day for that matter.
- AmateurConciergeAugust 18, 2015The nicer of the 2 Ninth Street Espresso's. More seating here and welcoming of laptops, but still no outlets. Cold brew is solid.
- excellent coffee, great WiFi... but no outlets. Think it’s their way of avoiding all-day seat hoggers.
- Matthew CaldecuttJuly 17, 2015Some of the strongest coffee that I have ever had. If only they had food, this would be the perfect spot to start a day.
- Raphael LangenscheidtAugust 7, 2015Great for working, but no outlets and the A/C simulates New York in January. Still - good coffee and a nice, relaxed vibe.
- Todd OlmsteadAugust 20, 2011This location of Ninth Street has free wi-fi and ample space to unpack your laptop and hunker down for a bit. A great rainy day spot to warm up with a coffee and get some work done.
- Project Latte: a NYC cafe culture guideAugust 29, 2014The only decent coffee & the only good workspace in the area, along with free wifi and basic baked goods are provided to a mostly local Alphabet City crowd.
- Dylan StilinOctober 9, 2014Gets packed during prime hours. Go when it's quiet to relax or do some work with a great cup of coffee.
- Good for a quick and tasty coffee, but they closed up all the power outlets, making this place a "if I'm near by" instead of a destination for me.

- apareekApril 11, 2013THE BEST COFFEE! They have spoiled me. Now I have to go there every time I go to NYC without exception!
- Get to know the baristas. If you are in a particular mood, they can create custom drinks for you, but nothing like Starbuck's. This is real technical coffee brew.
- Try their cappuccino, or just a classic (but excellent) espresso.
- Joel BarronMarch 4, 2012Superb coffee as you'd expect from a place that's been here doing it for 10 years. Love the minimal/rustic feel too.
- Deanna SApril 28, 2013They specially design their coffee beans and send the orders to brazil to be harvested. The Alphabet City blend is fantastic!
- OMGICUMarch 21, 2011WARNING: Celebrities, notably Jason Schwartzman, have been known to receive preferential treatment here. If your barista is dawdling with your latte to favor his, tell her to "rush more."
- SideTourApril 24, 2012A bit off the beaten path, but definitely worth the trek. Our vote for the best in the city. Cash only!
- Sarah HolmJune 30, 2010I come here almost every day now. Not only is the coffee amazing - the place itself is great too. The barristers are really friendly and cool...read more on my blog Read more
- Bring your own power generator if you want to get work done. They covered their outlets on the floor so you can't plug in.
- Great for working during the week. More busy on the weekend, obviously.
- Sarah NelsonJune 7, 2012Love the Ave. C location for working/reading on a weekend. Some of the best coffee in the city.
- 4% fee for card. Currently no wifi. Still my favorite coffee in the village.
- You can ask Mark to make you a caffe ole, with skim milk and it costs leas than a latte and tastes just as nice.
